Obviously India is and will be far better than the rest of the world.Inspite of few porblems people highlight India is still the best.Also, after all where will these huge resources find the outlet? Obviously in the growth. The growth of India will simply outburst of the potential resources of India especially the educated and multi-destrous youth, the multifaceted youth talents, the culture and the solid human (Indian) civilisation having 2.1 Billion years (I have the proof) background. Take my words we donot need naybody else certification or the survey and research reports. While these sort of comments are really nice to read...it is not a reality in India..neither this will be possible. The primary reason is we are having Very corrupt politicals leaders in our country, who just to grab the power can do anything. Secondly most of the we indians fight with each other in the name of religion, caste etc. Our politicals leaders never talks about populations explosion, education etc. rather they use to play with reservation on jobs, and do all nonsense talks which neither help minorities or poor people. Just think about our ministers - Sri Laloo prasad jadav who is a tainted minister himself and our railway ministry is with him(god save railway)..while in election in Bihar..instead of talking about development or even thinking on that direction..he talks about Godhra. Unless we common Indian comes out of caste, religion, job reservation..we canot compete with us..not even with singapore..china..taiwan. For these we should throw out nonsense..'psuedo secular minded' politicans out and should have some people like our Dr.Abdul kalam..Dr.Singh..Mr.Atal Vajpayee..these good leaders who got some vision. To be honest, I was very positive about India before I landed in Europe. We are far behind. In my opinion we are ignoring the facts. I would love to see such comments taking shape of reality but there is alot to be done. We are forth largest economy in the world, but see the size and population of our country. We have money but not well distributed. The import export gap is increasing. We do not have a big manufacturing sector.
I would say India is better than what it was in last decade, but this is not something to proud. We do not have basic ficilities. Female education is less than 40%. I do not feel that we would be able to overcome all this in just 50 years. There's a long way to go.
We have seen few call centers coming to India and expanding software industry and this has swollen us already. This is nothing as compared to EU or USA or China. Please do not get dissapointed as I just wanted to put some facts in front. Just search on net to compare my India with other countries. You will know the truth yourself or just and go to village nearby, you will find a different world or go to some slum within your city where thousands are living within your city..... Regards
Stop using such Big Self-damaging Headlines- China doesn't even made such claims, even though many foreign experts made similar comments. India is more than 15 years behind Chinese industries, let alone poverty and illiteracy levels so forget about USA. Compare with Brazil. Even Lahore, Pakistan looks much well off and polished compared to any Indian cities. When somebody outside India reads such headlines and finally lands in an Indian Airport and gets out... they get the shock of their life. Dont mean to discourage but its empty comfort! Focus on improving your standard {like Chinese, Singaporean, Thailandetc did...}, whether its thinking, talking, behaving, healthy eating and healthy life style...etc., you won't need others predictions to fill your heart. Mature media writers should encourage mature thinking comparable to standard in other countries.
I'm surprised to see the author saying that democratic setup is required for Economic Development and Progress.Our experience is the otherway around.We see projects are delayed/derailed because of change in governments in both at the state and Centre.Uneconomical activities abound for political unjustified enrichments.What could've been done in tens of crores of rupees being comleted at hundred of crores at a painfully slow pace.Govern ments work only on compulsions.One of the reasons given for the amazing speed at which China developed economically is the autocratic functioning of the centalised decision making process for every thing.I want a clarification for it.
It is time that economists and commentators stop giving alluring captions such as the one in this case. Before envisioning when we shalal overtake China or the US,the government of the day must ensure a corruption free and efficient governance. Look at our current scenario. The FM of the day is hamstrung from all sides. He gets a wish list from several quarters one of which is accompanied with veiled threat to give trouble in the parliament. How can he freely articulate his well-considered measures to further the economic progrss and liberalisation, leave aisde making yet another 'dream-budget'?
As per the growth of professionals coming out with lot of knowledge from the existing education system, and as there has already been a decade the professionals have been out,coming years will be the time you see all this professionals bundled with the work culture the growth techniques and above all couple of investing dollars, will not only implement the knowledge into affect will also raise the living standards, focussing more on the quality of support keeping the western customer into consideration..
