An excellent article. Exposes the poor, inadequate and corrupt regulatory sytem pitched against pwoerful multinationals. Added to that is the apathy of media to these issues. We needs hudnreds of Sunita Narains backed up by public awareness to bring sense to these erring corporates.

But many poorer rediff readers wont even know that this article exist as rediff has no link either on the front page or even on the business page. It puts all the crap from USA and around the world on the front pages but these basic issues find no mention. All these so called companies have double standards. I live in USA and know if anything comes up here the companies would be "sued" to bankruptcy even it is one of the best brands around. may be cos we are so poor that lives dont cost much....alas
