This is probably the first time I'm lauding rediff media team.
But that doesn't mean the I wasn't admiring the articles before. It is because of paucity of time I, and most of us would agree that we can't drop in the comments. Neverthless, I always read the channelized information reserviour whether that be on careers, management, investments, economy, science & tech or any other specials. The articles chosen by u guys are thoroughly researched & well scripted. The efforts put in to get the the articles written by sector specific experts is also commendable. I must say that rediff portal is adorable not only in India but also by the Indian abroad (from the inputs of whatever the small sample set of friends, who are in US, UK and Canada).
To run any projects whether it is global or local the most important factor i feel is inter-departments or inter-functionals co-ordinations.
The project manager should be more encouraging. He should understand problems of his team members and should sort out to boost the morale of the people working in the team.
I think emphasis on quality is missing here. Topic started with poor quality of product. How to do verify and validate the product, importence of quality is missing.

Hi, Nice point. I do understand the Quality is an important topic not addressed. However, this article tries to address at high level "How to manage a global project" Hence an area such as quality becomes one of the jobs assigned to sub-project manager. There will be a sub-project manager working with his quality organization for any quality related standards and procedures.
