Surpluses

Very thought provoking and brilliant article.

The change of Logo from Durubani's Reliance to Anil Ambani's Reliance and the time taken to build brand of Relaince communication is another example.

rediff is shining brighter now, thats why it is India's No1.

Wipro a Performer
by Vikas paul on Jul 22, 2006 09:05 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dears,

I feel proud to be a Ex part of Wipro group in Delhi office. when the first time i got my busibness Card my associate told me, You have got a Traditional Flower attached to you...that made lots of emotional scence, but i could sustain the agreement only for six months, though i still love my card..Wish i could be a permanat part of that Enriched Flower History.

Does WIPRO really understand the meaning???
by sehzada on Jul 20, 2006 02:50 PM  Permalink

Does Wipro, or its employees really understand the meaning behind the logo? Or its simply that the Designer and Mr Premji are the only people to be happy about their interpretation?

I agree, this piece is nothing but Gas.
Easy money for peeps calling it an offshoot of emotional surplus strategy.
:D

Sudhan Deo.

Wipro deserves respect for its adherence to its beliefs
by ALOK DHOTEKAR on Sep 20, 2005 04:46 PM  Permalink

Many years ago Wipro had propounded the idea of Lets try to do things right the first time. It means a lot and there is a very basic message in it. And it was for the world to see what Wipro was meaning... it stuck to the quality thrust.

I was distantly connected with Wipro when the 'Rainbow flower' was being ushered in. The greatness of this induction stems from the fact that every Wipro employee was made to understand the significance and the values attached to it.. The exercise was such that first Wipro ensured that it did manifest in true spirit what it was trying to convey and then stuck to it.

The ' Rainbow flower ' stands a good front face of the organisation and it shows that given the 'belief' , the commitment and the willingness value systems can go hand in hand with ethical business practises.
