Will some people never stop justifying the failure of the state on all fronts, so glaringly exposed by this incident in the India's financial capital.
People like Mr.Barua are what really allow such happenings to occur time and again in India. Just imagine the plight of other smaller cities, in the face of any calamity, if that is what could happen to a city like Mumbai.
One couldnt compare Mumbai to London or Singapore, for none of them are so bereft of basic amenities, infrastructure or long term planning. There is absolutely no sense of planning even in the newer areas in Mumbai. Hope we do wake up someday as a real democracy, who would hold the Representatives responsible and see to it that they never comeback to power unless they work FOR THE PEOPLE.
