charity

I think if the temple board is that rich, they should have donated handsome amt for sunami. The followers will be more benifited if the money is utilised to raise the underpriveledged class through good education.

Christanity has spread all over world because of they have used their educational institution for upbringing the poor to the level of others. This has been a great incentive for the conversions.

Hiduism is rich and pious religion, Lets spread it.

commodity trading in tirupati
by venkat on Apr 28, 2005 06:55 PM  Permalink

This is the most wonderful and novel idea TTD has come up with.First of all i congratulate the Board members and the TTD staff for being so innovative. This move of theirs for sure will eliminate to a large extent the big cartel of middlemen which currently supply commodities to the temple which ususally runs into hundreds of crores. This will create greater transparency into the transactions and give all bidders an equal playing field. This will also ensure the quality of the procured product.I wish them to go ahead with more innovations and do better service in the name of God.

similar model......
by nishant on Apr 27, 2005 02:20 PM  Permalink

Can v also have similar model coming from the north's(J&K)famous shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi also ..i mean something like....that feeds thousands of devotees daily some 100000 ladoos made every day for devotees, free of cost at Tirupati Balaji Temple. The Autonomous body Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board which was formed in 1986 for the betterment & development of the shrine has much to catch up with the same model.Since 86' we have seen a lot of development ofcourse, but everything there comes at a cost.....The Board has money to spare for financing the state's borrowing but nothing much (free)to offer to the devotees. The base camp Katra still does not have a good enough hospital for the emergencies-the Board could have helped to make the conditions better,so tht everytime, now & then people do not rush to Jammu for smallest possible medical help.I donno how many people would agree to it, but Disaster Management is at its' worst.Soil erosion, deforestation, climatic changes r just a few of these.Compare Trikuta Parvat 15-20 yrs. back when it was lush green & now when its' turned brown..Board has all my appreciation for developing the place over the years, but a lot more has to come.
