It sucks how saregamapa vishwayudh challenge ends.i thought that before the grand finale there should have been an amne samne round or jugalbandi between the contestants. people are voting on popularity basis & not on true talent.if they all had to sing same song everyone would know who the real winner should be. i hate to talk about HR or ANEEK.they both are trying all tactics from begining to get more votes may it be love triangle or the recent incident (DP).NOT THAT ANYONE BELIEVED ALL THAT SHIT.but still.stop all that crap. one more thing all ladies should not vote for aneek as as first he said the song was dedicated to DP but the next day he contradicts on his own statement.HE IS JUST A LIAR. he has no respect for others.
You couldn't be more correct on how a true contest ought to be structured. The basis as stated by you is better.
We are now left with an undefinable tragedy for we will never know how Mauli and Sumedha would have sung the semi-classicals and fared in this category. In that respect it is a very sad ending.
The elimination basis may be OK for American Idol but it is not sutable for Indian music which is so much broader. Also, our audience is different.
Hi Mauli%u2026 Well have not watched your many performances but I was surprised to see you sing namak ishq ka. Man can%u2019t believe with such an accent you could pull that song off. Great going. Best of luck.

Yes, I agree but with a difference. She, more than "pulled that song off" - she actually made her voice a little more husky and coloured the song, making it more sensual and more sensuous. The young lady made a tonal contribution to Namak Ishq. Note the expressionism that went along. Now there is real ishq in that song as sung by her. It is also a tribute to whoever dressed her up to kill in this performance. Should she be merely a playback singer or something more?
