India-Rewind 200 years

Great Capture of 200 years.Durga Das book--From Curzon to Nehru is great to read.
However photos of "What is now Pakistan" are missing--From Afganistan to Amritsar--where from many aggressors came.NWFP,Punjab,SIND are missing. PLEASE ADD THOSE PHOTOS also.

Simply amazing to see such wonderful pictures of our great nation in the 1800's.hats of to those gentlemen who had a great passion for photography which has been well preserved and brought back to the public through your media.Thanks to all.By seeing those fantastic forts palaces and the festivity of those years I proudly feel to express that India was a superpower in the 1800's itself when visualizing the skill and the greatness of our ancestors in those days itself- when all inventions were just on their ways.Great to feel and be an INDIAN.

These pictures really amazing. Especially the pictures of Madurai Mela & Kumbakonam mahamam 200 years ago tells lot about the people who lived in those days.

That was an amazing set of pictures. Imagine they were shot nearly 200 years ago, bet no body who would have seen these pics then would have said that we are a third world - we became the third world only after the Brits looted and pillaged us! In any case, I guess we have to sometimes acknowledge the Brits and their conquests...
