More than 60 years ago leaders of Muslim community of undivided India, needless to mention, taking advantage of lack of education, prevailing poverty and religious phanaticism convinced large section of Muslim population that in independent India Muslims will stand no chance of prosperiety etc. Future under majority of Hindu political leaders are bleak. So we need a separate homeland. There we will be the masters of our fortune. Under this environment of hatred a new nation called PAKISTAN were born. Because of muslim leaders vested interest it was taught constantly in Pakistan and unfortunately in India too that we are foes and could never be friend. But now after elapse of 60 invaluable years a new generation of population in both sides of border realised that we share more things in common socially. our grand fathers and fathers taught us wrong. We are not enemies and should mingle freely.Motto of this generation is to achieve prosperiety and develop our respective country economically following democratic pathway.
muslims will cry that they are minorities and fetch all benefits to them, the moment they become majority they harass and kill all others and convert that place as islamic hub of terrorits. They broken INdia by killing 10lakhs of Hindhus/sikhs and now making mess in kashmir. where are secular and minority champions now? why doent media speka on these killings? Muslims killed 1lakh hindhus in kashmir but media conviniently ignores it but keeps cries on Guj riots ..this that etc..these thugs needs to b parcel to pak which is thier home and holy country ...then all problems will b solved. MIM which opposed HYd to be part of INdia is ally of congress now, MUslima killed 27000 hindhus in Hyd region durring razakar moment to resist Hyd to be merged to INdia.These muslims are shame to humanity and curse to INdia.
Everyone will like to welcome Mr. Nayyar's views. The communication between people of Pakistan & India should be increased. Mr. Vajpai has tried it eight years back and got a very positive reply in the form of Kargil attack, where we have to loose many of our young officers and soldiers. Within last 60 years we have to fight 4 wars against Pakistan which were forced by them on us. Do Mr.Nayyar & such so called forward people remember this? Please try to accept the fact that Pakistan is country who has taken birth on the basis of HATE FOR INDIA. You can not expect white roses from it as a friendship. So many bomb blasts in India are the blessings of Pakistan. This has been proved for so many times. How are we going to recognise common Pakistani and a militant if we allow them to come and visit India for the betterment of relations? Do our police & military have only this job to take care of such events? Unfortunately they have lot of workload as it is. So this is rquest to Mr. Nayyar please wake up from dreams. People of any country and its rulers can not be seperated and if the country is like Pakistan where religion makes an impact on visdom. We have lot of work still to do in our natoin. So many people from our own country waiting for a friendly hand from us. Let us make them happy first. Till that hopefully majority of Pakistanis will overcome the filling of hate for India. No differences in culture, living styles and economic conditions and people of two countries crave for harmony unlike chauvinistic cocooned religious fundamentalists either hindu or islam.Terrorism from these people is always a threat to both Pakistan and India.Mr.Kuldip Nayar is humanist and statesman and lifelong fighting these undemocratic, misled fotces.
These people are delusional - all this crap about Saint Gandhi single-handedly getting 'independence' for India - had the Brits not been pummeled by Hitler and barely saved her skin only because of the intervention of Uncle Sam, and her economy and infrastructure not been shot to hell, Britain would have persisted in keeping Churchill's promise - "we shall never give up India", and no amount of satygraha or fasting would have moved them to abandoning their 'Jewel in the Crown'. It was more happenstance - WWII, which forced India's independence, and not just Gandhi.

I read an article where the last rites Brits when leaving is to divide us! Many millions were killed following this.
How come we were all good for 300 years plus or minus few under one India?
Brits let us be divided and our leaders wanted to be leaders in this divided land.
After partition the international community did not allow Pakistan to know its bearing. The fact is that, based on hate campaign against the so called "Hindu India" which is mother to world's second largest Muslim sons of the soil, they always duped themselves to be thinking differently, like more related to Arab world, or central asia or recently like turks more related to more cosmopolitan modern islamic country integrable with euorope. Their "muslimness" was pampared, lest in the vacuum of their own identity communism may not take roots and align Pakistan to Russia in the hay days of cold war. An educated "musalman" was inrigued into thinking superior to a hindu exactly like we in India maintain,though very mild now, an undercurrent of supiriority of Brahimins over Kaysthas, Rajputs over Chauhans, bengalis over rest of indians, tamilian brahmins over everybody etc. The solution to make parition sweeter and heathier for the growth of two nations it is necessary to create lots of opportunities for universal good education, open communication, abundant job and business opportunites across the borders, lots of affordable tourism ensuring healthy amusement, adventure, good food and also some extra luxury. The government of Pakistan should make investments, spiritual. religious and financial that eliminate war across its borders and maked borders bteween Pakistan and India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, between Pakistan and Iran and finally between Pakistan and China irr
Forget about the crap about burguas? Nyet! From the very inception of the state of Pakistan, its rulers tried mighty hard to make the case that, being predomoinatly Muslims (98%)they were not Soutn Asians, but Middle-Easterners - Arabs to be more precise, only to be rudely shunned by those nations who had no time for these upstart ex-Indians. Something Pak's rulers still haven't figured out - being an Islamic republic chock-full of fundamentalist Muslims doesn't make one Arab, Iranian or Turk or whatever they've been trying to pass themselves off as - they're still just a bunch of Pakis. And despite the peurile bilge from both Nayar and Siddiqa, Pakistan's very idea of itself as a nation was based solely on it's hatred of India, for India and towards India, something which was taught from day one to every single one the citizens of that putrid land - hate conditioning from birth. So there!
