Doesnt this happen everywhere in the world? Then why such Anti-Indian style of making statements?
The media is really becoming useless and cheap to gain attention. They are sold to anti-nationals, film stars, politicians.
Isnt it the media who is responsible to promote vulgarity and western culture to youngsters? Then why this Sceptism?
Pepsi, Alcoholism, Vulgar Dances, Vulgar Ads...dont they all sum up to a degrading, unhealthy and vulgar GenX? It surely does.
No doubt people in ancient times in India were learned that they sent their children to Ashrams to study where they were first taught to build themselves into good charactered persons.
After invasions of Mughals and Britishers its the western culture that is invading the hearts of millions of youth..making them into living Devils!

Your headline in he first page, "What's happening in India is shocking" gives an impression that commission of this sort of crime is peculiar to India. No, it is not. What does one think about them? They shouldn't be such microscopic coverage!

i can't believe rediff is highlighting such a wrost thing as a headlines! what it would have done then,in a recent case of a father captived his daughter and fathered 6 children in Austria. At least this will not happen in India.

I fully agree with Shri Amit. It is a big big world with billions of population, with millions and millions of nice people by virtue of whom this world is so beutiful. Let us move ahead. Look for people who spread peace and love.
The head line is misleading. Seems its written by somebody from other counrty about India.Its disturbing. But does it happen in India only?Is only Indian mythology has voilence? What abour Quran and Bible? Don't portay India as so bad Country by such heaings
Its hard & tough to digest post this revealtion either directly or indirectly , but one has to manage himself with the fact that world is not so small , there are others who are worthy of your love , affection & better still change yr path , don;t break yr head over it , flush it out once & for all , just give yr self a day to ride over this feeling , call the culprit ( yr lover in this case ) names which u would not have done had she/he been loyal to you & move ahead . Either u have to change yr value system of dumping people once u r thru or change yr path . In this case i believe more than the naval officer , its the lady who is to be blamed ,for this outcome . Infact had she not double crossed either of them , things would have been different but she would still have her line of defence & by the way who r we to stop her from having multiple boyfriends , she is independent & has the right to chose her way ofmaking her ends meet . Guys / Gals just learn to accept this fact that future of yr love life will depend on mutual admiration & if thats not happening , better move out of it on a good note . Life ismuch better beyond it . control yr emotions & don't let the ill effects of movies , environment & bad company rule yr power of decision making . lets live in peace & enjoy life . Amit .
