Mumbai has a personality . Compared to delhi, it is much more civilized. In delhi , people want to get money out of your pocket by hook or crook but in mumbai, no fraud or forgery. The general public is friendly as compared to delhi.Delhi is uncivilized . I am not from mumbai. In fact I studied in Delhi and I am not from Delhi also.

Dear I am a north indian and I studied in Delhi College of Engineering for four years and ve watched Delhiites closely..Only gali galoch and shrewedness.. Now that I work in mumbai I see mumbaikars closely. About "marathi manus " theory, no educated marathi supports this and a typical marathi person is more sensible and helping then a typical delhiite !! With no malafide to delhiites !!

I love delhi and it its rich lush green enviro and monuments but as far as delhiites are concerned , I feel bad. Basically, Delhi is about power..that is every person wants to get associated with some neta ...and brags a lot about that. In mumbai, you will find somebody like Tata sahab walking at airport with a briefcase in his hand but some chota mota neta at delhi will have 4-5 people around him, one for his cellphone, one his briefcase, one for blah blah blah... Note: I like Delhi. but delhiites, doubt..
A city where your nose is in somebody else'e armpit on an average weekday evening, where you sweat until your tongue dries up, where you are constantly fighting for space and scrambling for time.. Those who love living in Mumbai obviously have a lot of bad karma to exhaust. May God bless them.

that was so funny. that is the real Mumbai. not the cliched one presented in the article above
I would like to add 20 more:( based on my experiences way back a decade ago..and hope still there!! ): 11.The 'local'trains of Mumbai-you will devlop a love /hate relationship! 12.The 'taxis & Auto Rickshaws'of Mumbai..the driver returns the 'change' and rarely questions you where to go before boarding! 13.The 'Buses'of Mumbai..where 'Q's are maintained ! 14.The 'shoe polish' wllas at Local train stations...where you can get a good shoe shine before boaring the train to office-for just Rs2/-! 15.The 'bhel puri' and 'vada pav'sold at all stations! 16.The time consiousness of Mumaikars...out of necessity..may be 17.People report to office on time and also leave on time..otherwise they will miss the local! 18.The dress consious ness of Mumabaikars..usually they are all well dresssed. 19.The 'rains' of mumabi..you wonder when will they stop!! 20.And last but not the least..the glaring diparity of Mumai..where 'jhopad pattis'exist next to a 'posh'buiding..everything in 'harmony'!!!
I did not expect this from rediff. To see my point, read the text closely in slide 4. The text is the author's and not the balloon vendor's. Well, I am severly disappointed for sure.

I got to add before someone flames me. I do not care about the authors opinions/sense of humor. People have freedom of speech. However, it is quite irresponsible to have such stuff in publicly read newsfora that may offend readers (at least it made me angry).

have been observing Share market and real estate for last 3 years....And I am very sure property price will fall down by 30 to 40%. The reason is not demand and supply...but rates were fabricated by big investers...In last one year there were very few genuine buyer in the market...so guys just hold for another six to eight month you can buy a dream home at rock bottom price.
Actually, these car gifts and stamp duty relief are promotional offers selected by lucky draw.
Also, propoerty prices will now go down by 50 to 65 percent in metros.
It has already happened in USA.
Real estate analysts believe higher discounts and more sweeteners are the first phase of a correction looming over the property sector.
Said Ambar Maheshwari, director, investment advisory DTZ: "These measures are an admission by developers that their product is not moving. It is a first step before a more visible price correction". demand is "very strong". I hope u understand that "demand" also includes the ability to afford the goods.
