we let muslims come in our nation, we let the xtians, the british, the protugese, the chinese from tibet, the bangladesis, the tamils from sri lanka, the parsis from iran
we alwways gave them we have at teh expense of our benefits....also a non indian person in india is actually treated good...where as in US, u get mocked just for being a different color..or different culutre

I think that you are repeating a perverted version of History. If you read the correct version and not that propagated by Political Parties (be they Congress or BJP or any regional party) you will find that India has had plenty of examples of intolerance exhibited by native Indians towards each other. We wonder that Buddhism and Jainism two peaceful and non violent faiths that originated in India have so few adherents now. Vaishnav Hindus were responsible for violent attacks on Buddhist and Jain adherents and monuments. A Hindu "revival" brought about the exile of Buddhism to other nations and the near extermination of Jainism in India.

And where exactly did you learn that Tamils came from Sri Lanka? If there are any indigenous people in India, they are the Adivasis and then the Dravidas, of whom Tamils are descendants.

Mate, Muslims and Britishers did not plead Indians to stay in INDIA. Mighty set the rules. Your statments are nothing more than self consolation prize.
I do not think we are any more racists than others. We may react to strangers this way, but once we get to know them, all are same.
People tend to isolate themselves. That is due to insecurity. The siblings can be really close. The moment they marry, other factors come into play. The distance also creates the divide and suspicion. I know brothers so close but drift apart for trivial reasons.
I have had opportunities not only to mingle with my own kind, but also foreigners. Scratch the surface all are same. Of course, there are cultural differences. The western people never are nosey unless you are a Britney Spears or Paris Hilton! They live and let live. We tend to get too close for comfort. Some exploit the kindness and try to run our lives!
Our politicians divide us. They recycle the past for their selfish interests. Many fall prey. Some just use the rediff for getting the bile out of mostly miserable existence. Anybody is fair game. They have their pet themes mostly a game called cricket. That can bring out extreme passsion.
My take is, life is too precious to hate. All are same. Only circumstances make us seem different. All mothers love their children. All men love beautiful women! All women love to be pampered by their favourites!
The moment we realise we are all blessed and created from the same stock, we can live in peace. I can coexist with anyone and we come alone and leave the same.
Let us celebrate life! More in common than we realise!

well said. however, everyone wants to stay together irrespective of their culture, color and origin. but, due to the insecurity, we tend to dominate others just by provoking their weaknes such as religion, color or culture...
try to understand the others mentality and act accordingly to overcome these kind of problem...
Even after winning the contest Ishmeet lacks confidence in himself because of the continuous racial abuse he faced in voice of India. I saw him in Chotte Ustaad show a few days back, where he came to release his album. He still lacked confidence. This is the damage that Adesh,Lalit & Abhijeet have done to his confidence.
It is true, our society is still quite racist. See the kind of racism Ishmeet the winner of Star Voice of India had to face. He was racially abused for 4 months continuously by Abhijeet, Lalit & Aadesh Shrivastav. The whole nation cried when Shilpa shetty was racially abused in Big brother, but no body came to rescue of this innocent sikh boy when he was being repeatedly racially abused and treated in the worst possible manner in this show. He won by his own good luck, but this is no way to treat a contestant in a reality show. He was abused only because of his religion.

The only way out of this whole evil racism or casteism could be thinking with out any prejudice for some time on these issues whether they are just or not...Because we dont think of questioning custom n traditions of ours..just a simple solution question urself b4 u discriminate others whether u wud accept that sort of discrimination if u r discriminated...
sme communities took the lead in education,business and employment.nw there is now way for Brahmins to dominate in these regions.So i feel this whole racism, casteism are all related to economic development.All over the world wht evr ethnic conflicts,religious wars,wars n racial abuse are happening it's just a disguise for fight against economic imbalances.otherwise how come negros like Michael Johnson,Muhammad ali can have millions of fans from white community. better example for the extent of casteism in India..there is one community which take pledge not to drink Thums up not bkoz of pesticide contamination but just because a hero belonging to rival caste endorse this product.this is how extreme it is.N these caste politicians who talk a about upliftment of SC STs they themselves feel as if they have been upgraded to some uppercaste once they get the power.N this reservation n all that stuff would make them more backward than any forward.Who is using the SC ST reservations to get in IITs or IIMs or even Civil services.are they not the sons of Bureaucrats,Engineers.They would never let the real scilent majority to get the reervation benefits.May b it would sound funny but this is true.I heard a father(a job holder) was making birth certificate of his son But in the Father's column he filled in his brother's name because his brother is not having job that could make his son claim for reservation.this is how they misuse it.They themselves dont let others of their community

Why go anywhere else - take a look at the discussion/message board at the end of any article (be it related to movies/politics/literature/music/cookery/fashion/students/infrastructure - whatever) - there is an endless fight and exchange of nasty messages between north Indians and south Indians. Even the four communities of south India are busy slandering each other. Every day, every article - it is a glaring example of our shamelessness, our immaturity, and our hatred towards each other. What more example do we need of racism in India.
India is the worst recist country. There are several types and several ways of descrimination and recism exists here. Like: Caste, Religion, Rich and Poor, Power and Powerless, Geographical basis racism. Bahut sare hain. Just feel it, when an INDIAN goes to see tajmahal ticket value is 20 rupees only but for a foreign tourist it is 750 rupees. Why is it like this??? Everywhere it is like this. INDIA is not at all a global destinations. Bahut hi different treatment hai yahan pe logon ke beech mein.
