To the fool Eswaran Iyer. we already have a Men's day, its in wikipedia, infact its celebrated in many countries. You dont celebrate because you are ignorant about it, and thats why you dont deserve to celebrate it.

Men know what they are and dont just need a special day for realisation. Women need it as still in 21st century they are a confused species.
International women's day was celebrated all over the world. In india, channels were flooded with the programs of women's day, but none of channels has bothered to show achievements of women in various field. There are unknown and unsung women who had done a lot in the society without the help of male bastion but it has not shown in any channel. Else they were full of ill-sensed programmes. There could have been forums, live discussions, awareness programmes that could gave insight to women and helped them to explore many things in life and gave a chance to think that women needs to look beyond traditional role of indian women. They should not be co-partner of men but they should be partner entitled with equal rights and privileges

oh come on shakuntala. Why u hate men so much. Men and Women make a symbiotic relationship and both require each other. U have a mind block of all men being bad. Tell me, are all women pure and good??
Women are equal to men and superior to attributes which men cannot claim and the same applies to men too.When it comes to emancipation,women have to liberate from self imposed shackles.If the mothers in this world are able to nurture sons who could respect women, where do you think the problem may coe from? Women, when they become mothers show a different character than when they were spinsters eyeing to get the right man.Once a mother,she gives more attention to the son than the daughter.Unless the mothers change, women have to celebrate women's day to be heard for their misery.
Women's greatest enemy is another women. Thee is no such thing as father inlaw- son in law fighting. Normally it never exists. Have anybody travelled with a group of women in a train. Men are lucky too
There is no point in saying men are better or women are better. The world requires both. Both have their strengths and their weaknessess.what a man cannot do, a women could do or vice versa.Both complements each other.It is good that womens day is celeberated,women should be give little more credit as u or me would not be there if "she" was not there.Also she is understood to take more pain than man do.
Womens is always against womens. Men got married a women and his wife will be against his mother in law for this cause mens will be blamed he is not take care on his parents. Womens are the sole responsible for the rise of OLD AGE HOMES. Now most of the mens got fear on marriage. Mens are got feared to walk in the road. As one of the comments i read in this all of them are behind Womens supporting them but no one is supporting mens. We are very disgraced.

In fact the law is on women's advantage now and blindly accept without any validation. I know so many guys are not even allowed by their wife to go and meet his parents and brothers. They could not even support their families. In fact men should be freed not women.

Yes Now every field women is progressing - in study/education "Women" are in Top, In talent Women are in Top - Boys/mens are never equal to women I say they are the weaker Sex actually
U see almost every time in Beauty contests, how the women take names of distinguished lady personalities like Mother Teresa who actually were sincere in their task and were not glamour prone. These beauties take the name of poor, upliftment of society blah blah blah and that they admire Mother Teresa and would like to work for the upliftment of the underpriviledged but after they win, one can only see them running around TREES and SINGING in FOREIGN LOCALES in BIG BANNER FILMS , Where they just end up racing around to excel in the rat race of being heroine no.1. How many times, does one get to see what they are doing similar to the Great Mother Teresa ! Just a thought ! Ponder seriously on it ???

This whole Women's Day thing is a farce. In India, gone are the days when girls or women were being ill treated. Today they are ill-treating men ??? Most cases men are the culprits ! One Women crying will attract 1000 silly men eager and overready to help her but no one will see the apathy/ agony of the man who was intentionally scr*wed up by the stronger sex(women) in the name of discrimination , power et all. Conclusion - Women are Men swallowers and smarter than men(though not all - but in most cases - specially the urban women ). They have by far excelled in every field and left us cribbing behind ! God also loves women !

I agree with the general sentiment about women abusing the "victim" status. I don't agree however that women are better than men.
