Can U recollect how PM Sonia and Congees were sleepless when Dr Haneef was arrested in Australia for genuine reasons. PM urgently summoned Australian High command to bail him out and gave a rousing red carpet welcome on arrival. On the contrary 4 P hd students murders in US have not been noticed by Sonia Pm or our secular leaders and BJP is also silent . Had it been A MINORITY , our SECULAR Govt would have rushed an envoy to US tv channels would have been flashing 'breaking news' thru the day and competing with one another to claim who broke the news first etc... Deve Gowda offered him a position the Ambedkar Medical College making him a National hero as if he had sacrificed fo the nation.. One does not understand the impulsive nature of our media and the Government. Now they succeeded in reversing his case and revoked his visa
its awful, whats happened ,but lets remember one thing, violence of this sort has been happening in India too , of late, all those incidents of firig in school campuses. The important thing is to find the real cause for the death. Also its wrong to say that Indians are too competitive and dont know how to behave in western society.Thats sheer nonsense. Our kids pick up fast. And most of the time they dont interfere with others affairs, atleast not in the US. They know they have to finish their studies on time and then look for jobs and in most cases they also have to support families back home, so they are most focused.
Indians do behave in a childish manner.. Too competitive for other students to feel comfortable about... Just imagine Indians would react if students from Bangladesh or Africa did the same in India.. In my observation, students who come to US need a primer in behaving and speaking in Western Society.. We are all deeply divided within and we tend to take teh same divisions in our mind when we go abroad and that partly explains why we ar so interested in others afairs... I wonder why there is no violence against the chinese ?? becasue they blend very well with others and are very helpful ( in my experience) as far as academics is concerned. Not like Indians who want to be unnecessarily competitive even with their fellow country men even when it is not needed... Most of Indians are insecure when they deal with others ...

There is violence against Chinese too. But less. Chinese are the most diplomatic back stabbers in this world. You can trust a lawyer, a cunning jackal but never trust a Chinese. I guess we all got a dose of that during Indo-China war. Hindi-Chini Bhai-Bhai and then Bye-Bye

Comparison to Chinese may not be fitting but the inherent nature of INDIANS is well chronicled. We are like that.
