it is not true, all days are not men's days.Infact there is no day for men to celebrate. in this feminist world men need to suffer silently.

Maybe Krishna Tripathi is generalising his experiences because he knows of more instances where these things have happened. Maybe we should look at this with a broader perspective.

Yeah, I don't think it is fair to generalise. My wife has certainly not done any such nonesensical thing and will never do it! Maybe you have had an experience like that before, so that is why you are writing such things.

it is not single person's case preeti, it is the many men's plight of these days.
The shield that is given to women is now being used as assiassin's weapon. The women organisations have, for decades, moulded the records in their favor showing that women are harassed. Agreed they have suffered but the figures are highly exagerated. And if women have established themselves today, do u think men should not be credited for this? Can daughters study and achieve their goals without constant support from their fathers? Men carry so much burden on their shoulders but never say a word of harassment. Today, there is a ministry for women, children and even animals..are we men less important than even animals?? Men's day should be celebrated in order to make them feel part of a larger group...organised like women..

it's not true, all days are not men's days. All other days are unofficial women's days, and the march 8 is the official one. we men brainwashed to believe all days except march 8 are men's days.
Come on, we all know it. This is the time for all the beauty products, household appliances, jewellery stores, fashion houses to offer discount sales for the 'woman of today!' I completly agree with Manjit Singh. In a country like ours, where female feoticide, dowry deaths, eve teasing, harrassment still occur, its silly to talk about Intl Women's Day. (What do you think, that for one day, the eve teaser will pay respect to a woman, by not harassing her on March 8?) One has got to know the reality, before joining the woman's day celebration bandwagon!
Well we are living in an era EO equal oppotunity. So now there shouldn't be any discrimination between male and female. Man or Women. Although womens play an important role, so we celebrate womens day just to give them more dignity and it reminds them now they are parallel to mens.
Dear Sir / madam, Just by a word everybody spelled out Women are equal to Men. But really speaking still women were treated as slaves, even ill treated by husband / in laws and in certain parts of India women were restricted to educate in colleges. Liberty, free movements - everything are given to Metrocity & City Women not for Village Girls. When the men / in laws give respects, equal choice, freedom & supports self decision making then only Women becomes equal to Men. But few exception women are there with authoritative, merciless and well positioned by qualification, talent and finance; these are meagre figures comparing existing population. Thus till what abovesaid qualitative behaviour from men & in laws becomes in a real life through out the India the only we can say women are equal to men; so till that date we should permit the women to celebrate the Women day.

Mr. Ramchandran..you seem to be a decade behind the current date. i like to address your comments one by one.. slaves..both boys and girls are slaves. male children are more likely to be taken in hotels etc. ill treated by in-laws..records are exaggerated. 95% of dowry cases are false to implicate the innocent in-laws. supreme court has termed the anti-dowry law (sec. 498a ipc as legal terrorism by women groups.. restriction in education..in a family if a boy is educated, his sister is educated too. now in villages too.. girls are educated.. an educated employed male marries and unemployed and partially educated girl..can an educated employed girl marry and uneployed male...never...

I read in news paper that NOV 19 is International Men's day. search in google, you will find more details.
I guess Womens day is a reminder to the fact that Women are the ONLY ones who can handle both household and office with ease and perfection. Women who can do justice to both Moterhood and the Corporate responsibilities. It is just taking out few momemts to encourage and salute womenhood.

who says women can do both? they do neither. they spoil house and office both. i m talking of today's women...kXKK4
Who said Women are Men's Equal? Take a good look at the Kriminal Kangress & you will know, women voice stronger than men. I don't think examples are necessary; it's understood.
