Isolating women in any form ,do not corroborate our Constitutional rights for: a) Equal opportunities b) Equal Pay It is also utterly disquieting to note the contradictions , everywhere, when we see SEAT RESERVATIONS etc. without not paying extra fares.
I don't think we should scrap the celebration of Womens Day. It is celebrated every year only to highlight the importance of women in our soceity. With the development of science and technology and the spread of education of women, they are coming forward to take up jobs hitherto not done by them. It is only a very good sign and in order to underline their importance in our soceity, we are celebrating the Womens Day.
it is celebrated to acknowledge men's obsession about women.they envy the decision making power of women and their strength to survive against all odds.we actually dont need to celebrate any day as men are misers and dont want to buy anything for ladies,so why not convert it into a MEN'S DAY instead
i think it should be celebrated to respect woman.She is our mother who carry's all of our family's burden on her shoulder.She is the first sign of love on earth.Even after saying women are equal to men, we expect her to do all of house's work even when she is very tired from work,still very happily she does it and takes care of us.
