Rediff should stop publishing articles on their whims and fancies. Do they know that the maximum number of deaths due to Road Accidents are caused by BUSES and TRUCKS. Mostly by old unmaintained GOVT BUSES.
Why blaming ALL youths for 1-2 stray incidents. I guess equal number of old people are involved in accidents. So maybe they should CANCEL LICENSES of all people above 65 years of age.
Parents are busy earing the money. Government is busy in earning the taxes from such commodities. All the adds like the cigarette should be banned. Parents should spend time with thier kids & teach our ethics & values. The correction starts from the house. House to the locality, then to the scoiety. We all to work together to correct this menance.
There is lack of guidance for young generation by their parents, friends or teachers. Becoz parents r busy with money market, friends are with money sex drink, teachers r with their salary or selling the education. Mother goes to Ladies club/pub, Father moves trips. What the kids learn with Ayas???? So missing link with young generation misguided by our leaders. Politics on college, Employment....each every sector makes young generation wrong side. Also these young generation implied by "DHONI MANIA"(everything young) so they r not ready to listen/take advice from the elder generation. This is missing link and drives youth in wrong side.
this is because of corruption in our traffic polic, you can driveas u wish - 100-500 needed for that - every traffic police is begging for 100 rs, they are culprits, rediff shoud focus in traffic polic

It always easy thing to blame police or IB if anything wrong. It is the weakness of Indians. They are not miracle humans to know what going to happen in future. We cannot make separate roads for drunken drivers. if made, the death will be increase. Drink in room, Hotel, Home and no need to roadshow on drunkard. It
I suggest in case of major accident (like death / disability etc.)due to druken driving the license should be cancelled and for minor offences based on effect the term of imprison ment / fine should be considered. Apart from prison they should also be made to work for society (cleaning roads / volunteering traffic etc.) this will definately have impact on themselves & others to abide by law while driving as no one would be happy to do something which would effect their ego / prestige in public.
Our education system has to play an important role to eradicate this kind of social problems. We must focus on educating the youngsters about HIV,Rash driving, Alcohol, Dowery and social behaviour when they are young and impressionable. At leter stage it is too late. And ofcourse law must be amended and properly implemented.

Most of the people who use these are aware of the side effects. I feel the money is the root cause, as yougsters have an opportunity to earn handsome amount in todays time working with IT / MNC companies. Most of the yougsters who earn do not have any dependents who needs their support hence spend them lavishly.
All BASELESS & FRIVOLOUS ENTITIES (like Politicos, Industrialists, Socialites, Media etc.) are misleading them with overdoses of Sex, Booze & Filthy Things which are hyped - up as "Hi - Fi Society Necessities" (ha, ha, ha!). In fact, this hype is nothing else but Crafty Marketing by the abovementioned lobbies to sell their Low Grade Merchandise by creating an "ARTIFICIAL NECESSITY". & as a fallout, the youthful mind, being nomadic, is instantly falling prey to their crafty hype.
These days i am finding too many articles on rediff which defy basic common sense. How can you equate a case of one or two youth who drink and end up in driving accident to all the youth in this country? This is case of hyper blowing up the issue.
Drunk driving is increasing with the youth particularly and proper education of the evils of drinking must be given. It is not only fatal to the drivers but also to the innocent pedestrians. The laws relating to the drunk driving should be tight and the punishment heavy so discourage this trend.
