GIVE THIS GIRL LIFE TERM PUNISHMENT......... and people will be careful in future.......

Quick and proper punishment is the
ONLY solution of every public problem ........

Another problem is corruption......
corruption will not allow HUGE MONETARY FINES
to become deterrence for drunk driving.....

Also Society should be responsible and
sensible........ system alone can not stop crimes.....

Parents should regulate their kids....

Another imporatnt thing Govt should do....
Awareness / Warning drives through
Regular media Publicity of criminal laws ( different types of crimes and punishments..)

DON'T DRIVE, IF DRUNK

It's all about social conciousness.
For example:
A guy is invited to a party and gets loaded. I mean he is
drunk.
His host or the others in the party who have been drinking sensibly and not drunk, must prevent him from
driving back home. In fact they must help him get back there by any means possible.

That's what I mean by "social consiousness" and this is what
needs to be aroused in society.

If, on the other hand, friends pump in drinks until bottles get
emptied without the least concern about driving home, that's
what I call: "social irresponsibility" and awareness of it must
be promoted in society.

That is the best way to avoid " driving, if drunk", and not go
on advising: "don't drink and drive". This latter slogan is a
JOKE. Who on earth skips a drink just because he has to drive?
In fact, I drive better after a swig, who doesn't!!!!!

I have seen school kids driving in motorbikes and scooters. Nowadays everyone wants instant growth to adulthood. There is a drive for sex education in schools. There SHOULD BE EDUCATION ON THE EVIL EFFECTS OF DRINKING; I AM NOT AGAINST DRINKING BUT DRUNKEN DRIVING. DRINKING IS AN INDEPENDENT CHOICE BUT NOT AT THE COST OF OTHERS.

Drunk driving - selfishness
by Burt Sanders on Jul 19, 2008 11:01 PM  Permalink

Why blame parents for everything? If a kid wants to try something, he/she will. You can only pray that as they grow up they'll gain some maturity and learn some responsibility, but don't place your bets on that! I see too may adults doing exactly the same thing, so I don't think they do much 'growing up' beyond ageing! It's truly time to start the practice of having a 'designated driver', when you're out partying with a group. This person will not drink, and is responsible for driving others home. This responsibility must be taken up in turn by others in the group at subsequent parties. But I suspect even suggesting that one person stay sober when the others are drowning their senses would earn me a good rap on the head. So a simpler solution? Get a cab or a ride home! Just don't drink and drive! Live and let live!

first of all parents should not allow their children to drive who are less than 18. second thing is , adults who are above 18 , parents should teach them to drive slow. the last thing is , if parents are allowing their children to ride bikes and to drive cars who are less than 18, then parents should be punished for that. driving needs maturity.

Nothing is wrong with India's youth. That is a wrongdoing by parents/guardians. Virtually every parent is aware about habit of their child however it curtailed after such serious icidence arises. They become innocent & will never comment negative about their youngones. Now situation becomes different parent talk in a childish way after their dear one is no more. Parents don't stand responsible only but are liable too for such serious cause. If parent wish their young ones should enjoy out of Home in midnights why the sincere drivers/guards are not provided (at least this class can afford).

Drinking and driving- Indian youth
by Raghu on Jun 26, 2008 12:42 AM  Permalink

It is very common in many of our cities to see youth drinking and driving rashly unmindful of the tragedy and consequences they put others into. A nation of more than a billion cannot afford to permit lawlessness on its streets to go on for ever. Strict laws should be passed for punishing such behaviour with stringent adherence irrespective of their connections. Otherwise our streets will be most dangerous place both for other law abiding road users and pedestrians. It should also cancel the license to drive for a minimum period of 3 years.
