This is just a sadistic pasttime indulged in by some of the students. It is all rubbish to say that it helps people [ the victims ] to grow in confidence.
There is no ragging in the American Universities, does that make the students there less mature?
the victim knows his mental trauma. the guy who rags always claim they do it in good spirit. people dread ragging, once they are the victim, they want to take revenge and since the seniors who ragged them are out of reach - its the juniors who fall prey.
Ofcourse ragging has Good and Bad results but for only few.To avoid the bad results and to increase the Good results like confidence,enthu,courage and Team work it should be conducted as a small event in front of all and all together in one day and shopuld end within the day with a dinner together.But when it become practice, it becomes habbit and it end ends up like worst culture.

It needs to be noted that ragging is crime under indian constitution and I want you to be prosecuted and put behinfd bars for calling something good which is a crime under the law You must immediately apologise or you face consequences of crime as per indian law This is a common answer to eveybody who has indulged in ragging supports it calls it good and what notIn the words of Arjunaa everybody who saw neglected supported helped ec etc Abhimanyu's murer will be killed This is what my GANDIV proclaims Gopal Chaphekar

i dont think there's anything positive about ragging. what team work ? what event are you talking abt ? where's this mythical place that happens the way you talk ?
it usually is the hostel areas, in the evening, after college hours, ragging can be demeaning, and precisely hit below the belt and humiliate - just to prove and satisfy an ego. there's little else in ragging. its the primal show of strength

The people on the forum who support ragging saying that it " increases confidence " and makes the victims " more mature " should feel happy. Look at the confidence the victim gained!

i feel ragging should not be done be it on a serious note or jokingly. we may a few who would say, why not? it starts with a small game but then it becomes too very messy.
ragging is a must thing..it transform a guy coming out of school from a lull to a bold one...ya any physical torture should not be there ,but ragging should not be banned...i am thankfull to what a difference it made to me

It needs to be noted that ragging is an offecnce nder Indian constitution and those supporting it are criminals I shall suggest cyber crime wing of the police to book all these people under criminal law Gopal Chaphekar
It is not good in any form as it disturb the mindset of student.It create fear which ultimately lead to worst scenario.I have not been ragged but what i have heard/read has terrified me.Hence strict control is required.
