time and again felow peoples like u have shought my advice about esque. and i have adviced tham to pay more attention on work/study/job, radher than on isque.
who paid more attention on isque single sidedly /or mutually failed measerable. in isque failure rate is above 90 and success rate is only1.5 percentage remaining are intermediate. means they enjoy kiks from both side.

the balance is no doubt important for every couple, but one question always remains for what and for whom we are earning, if you are earning just to enjoy life then ironically speaking you should not bring some body to life whom you cannot allot time. Our living standard should be like what we earn, hence even if single member earns it should be treated as adequate for living enough..

planning and time management
by drunken monk on Jun 09, 2008 04:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am not asking folks here to join a management class for this. Its something time management and little bit efforts on planning that one should follow. However, there are chances that even if you note down in calander, still you will miss something due to over concentration on your work.

Use the words, sorry ( in your personal life)and thank you with your (professional life). When u want to balance the work and personal life plan before you sleep or immediately when you get up.

it does not require great deal of planning to manage time for your work or your family. Don't bring work at home amd don't let home be with you at work. Work hard on weekdays and Enjoy 2 days of weekend with your family.
One spend 8-12 hours at work, just look at your schedule and see how constructively you use these 8 - 12 hours. Not to be surprised that you work only 5- 6 hours. manage this time and see how easy it is to maintian the balance

hi,
planning and management are very big words .... i understand that 97% of people on this planet do not have choice to go for work to get the food on table .... right .... its really pathatic situation ....

I would like to ask only ONE question to all , is "WHAT IS YOUR PRIORITY, "FAMILY" OR "WORK" ? "

most of the ppl are not aware of there is something also available on this planet earth, but it is hidden" only 0.1% ppl know it" ... i found it so that i can spend the quality time with my family ... if you would be interested to know do contact me ....

Cheers,

Relationship and Career
by kandukuri vijay on Jun 09, 2008 03:48 PM  Permalink

It is quite true that the relations are getting strained with today's working style,I know a lot guys who seldom see their homes before the on set of midnight. Many of the corporates still have the old fashion working styles.,including the reputed top private banks and business houses where the personal life takes a back seat and the official work the front. The situation of marketing guys is even worse -where people are on the field thru out the day and end up sitting late in the even..into midnight at office..doing all the routine stuff to satisfy the beurocratic styled bosses,Who always think only they have a family and not their sub-ordinates.The flexible working hours is fast catching up in soft ware and a few other arenas but it would take years to get the same culture into other zones.

Corporate culture - A key driver
by Satyajit B Tripathi on Jun 09, 2008 01:55 PM  Permalink

Most companies find it hard to retain talent. In cut throat competition and narrow profit margin it is really tough to match up salaries/ perks and most importantly sustain that trend.

So flexible working-time is what companies offer as one of the employee benefits. It is to the realization of such corporates that productivity is more when employee is happy. Employee is naturally happy if he/she is able to strike a right cord between Work & Life. Life doesn't always mean in vicinity of family, it could also be a time to read your favourite novel or discuss it with a friend, or may be watch a movie or play a game. Work is-to Live but Life is-not to Work (only).

A shift in corporate culture is a key driver for managing Work-Life balance.

Rationing
by Nitin on Jun 09, 2008 01:16 PM  Permalink

There is a theory that an individual works (on an average) a total of 50,000 hours ( - 5%) in his lifetime. If more of these hours are used up in the initial period of the career, then due to various reasons (health, fatigue, burn-out etc), fewer hours are avaiilable later on.
