gutu poornima
by Jayant Tilak on Jul 17, 2008 11:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is all Bhankas of Manuwadis and followers of Chaturwarna. Mayawati, Mulla Mulayam, Rabri-Lallus, Sadhu Yadav, Shibu Soren,Karat, Artam, Kambli, Khobragades etc are actually Gurus and Mahagurus. At present they are significant not Vyas, and other Rishis and Munis whom no one has seen but only believe on stories like Panchatantras. Who is Guru & who is Chela. Refer to any ancient or mythological references, chelas have brought fame to gurus.IE. Rama, Krishna, Vivekananda, Bhishma, Parshurama, Aruni of sandipany, Shivaji, Arjun, take any famous name, and you will find chelas have upgraded Gurus like our Mayawati to her mentor. Hence do not believe in all gurus whom you do not know. Worship Maya, Lallu, Mulayam, Soren, Sobhraj, Pappus, Karats, Lalitas, etc etc and you may atleast benefit.

by Balasubamanyam Sundar on Jul 17, 2008 11:05 PM  Permalink

For me the best guru for everybody is their father and mother and anyone who really follows their advice will be well in life. But remember they are the best guru only for morals and value in life and not every field unless you ar e blessed to be in the same field with them. another good guru is our experiences and what we learn from others bad experiences.

Guru Purnima
by S Ramakrishnan on Jul 17, 2008 10:44 PM  Permalink

"The Real Guru has no name and form", said my Master's Master to my Master! Yet He taught that God and Guru is inside the heart and showed the way to find that God and Guru! This He did by CLEANING our HEART and transmitting HIS SPIRITUAL NERGY or Life Force_He called it PRANA AHUTHI. This qas in exiastence during Vedic days and used by Rishis prophets and Saints long ago,but disappeared from India, which was the origin of This Science of Yogic Trabsnmission.Today ShriRam Chandraji revived that Great Art and Science, established a Mission cAlled Shri Ram Chandra Mission inHis Master's name, and appointed His worthy Representative,Shri Parthadarathi Rajagopalachari as President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, which also has a Foundation called Sahaj Marg Spirituality FOunation, The Foundation and SRCM are functioning in over a 100 countries, including China,Pakistan,Russia,Africa, etc, and teaching Spirituality throughout the world. This we find is removing greed and envy and spreading Love to all,,also removing barriers of caste, creed, religion and class, to create nuclii of a new spiritual civilisation.Communism has lost its glitter, capitalism is dying, and a new culture based on spiritualism will save humanity from its doom by taking the teaching of the Master to every Heart !!

Few Things to remember on GURU Purnima
by shama dikshit on Jul 17, 2008 10:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1) GURU is NOT God, He is servant of God and he teaches his disciples to serve God and get love of GOD.
2) If no.1 is True than Guru should be given respect as you give respect to a GOD.
3) In Kabir's doha "Guru , govind Dau khade .." You pay obeisances to guru first for What . That What is important. Because " ..Govind dio batie ", Guru tells you about Govind and tells you to serve and get love of govind. Govind does not mean durga, shiva kali or some GURU. Govind means Krishna. So one who does not tell you to get love of Krishna they are all bogus. Reject them as you Guru on this GURU poornima.

Now lets find out the so called spiritual organisation of these days. Are they teaching you to get the love of Krishna.
1) Ram krishna Math: - They do not know who is GOD and claim ramkrishna was god. God is always God from beginning. Our Krishna killed Putna when he was 6 days old. He lifted Govardhan. By worshipping kali one never becomes God. Krishna tells in Bhgawat Gita to surrender to Him, not any other Shiva , durga etc etc. . But Math people they just spread rubbish. Reject them.

2) Our HHH Ravi Shankar. His philosophy based of sankar philosophy. And Finally if you go in advance people will say HH ravishankar is GOD. That again rubbish. God has six opulent in complete. These Swamis can not control their nature's call how they can be GOD. Reject.

3) All other Dhongi's baba ( like Sai baba with long hairs ) reject them.

If you want real Guru, they should be disciplic succession of madavacharya, ramanujacharys, Visnuswami, Nimarakacharya. Then these guru should teach you to surrender to GOVINDA. Many of us make a guru to some Siddha babji , because they would have got some material gain from him sometime. One should remember they are not the body, they are spiritual soul . Your soul should get benefit from guru to get love of Krishna. All material benifit are useless and temporary for this life time. But once you get the love of Krishna it remains forever and goes to you in every life.

But can you tell me how can one reach to Lord Krishna. He himself is a part of Parmatma. All our holy books tell us that one cannot reach to God without following a "Satguru"

Guru Prnima-a very sacred day.
by Bishwa NathSingh on Jul 17, 2008 09:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Guru Purnima is a very sacred day for all of us. We offer our floral tributes to all our Gurus who have enlightened us. On this auspicious day, we offer our prayers to our Gurudev and seek his blessings. The first Guru is our loving mother whom we hold in great esteem. The second Guru are all those teachers right from primary to University, who taught us and helped us to earn bread & butter for our livelihood The third Guru dev is one who taught us ethical & moral values and helped us to remain sincere & honest in our approach to render selfless service to mankind as whole. He is omnipresent. He remains always in our hearts and keeps on guiding us to remain true to their teachings and live unto his ideals.Though.we begin our day with prayers to all those three Gurus but on the eve of Guru Purnima, we start our day with our best of prayers to Gurudev followed by floral tributes to him and assess ourselves as how far we have lived unto his expectations.Gurudev has given us mantras to attain salvation. He taught us practical values of our life. Our Gourde has been an embodiment of simplicity, great knowledge & well-versed in Our Religious Books & epics. We hold him in a very high esteem. We respect him the most. Let us offer our prayers and floral tributes him on the eve of Guru Purnima and pledge to remain true to his expectations in our life!

Mata, pita, guru daivam
by JGN on Jul 17, 2008 09:44 PM  Permalink

We have been taught that the Guru occupies an equal position along with our parents. For me Mata (mother), Pita (fahter) and Guru (teacher) are my gods.

I do not beleive in any supreme creator/most merciful creator/some fatner sitting in heaven!
