Offering bikes for 14000 rs is crazy, none other than some rich connoisseur will buy those things. This is not meant for common people, I am afraid. The entire talk about environment blah blah is hogwash it will have few takers.

That is true but only for foreign brands. If you are really keen on riding local-brewn brands such as Hero and BSA provide options starting from as little as Rs. 2000. And that is a fraction of the price you'll pay for a motorbike.

Does anybody ride both the bikes worth 2000 and worth 14000 . Whats the difference in ride quality. Is it wise to spend more than 7 times the amount

It is about how good your energy is transformed into kinetic energy. there are cycles for SGD8888 (Aloeca brand) here in singapore. It is made up of carbon fibre - most rigid, stronger than steel and very very light weight compared to steel. it has 32 step gear, designed in such a way which is best for your spine, castings for break lever, very thin and tubeless tires - which means less friction, carbon ball bearings - again stronger than steel... when u ride it, it really can make you feel WOW
Its indeed a very novel initiative to keep fit & also go green in these days. Moreover IT has gifted obesity to most of us & such innovative ideas can do a lot to people trying to reduce their weights. The only risk associated is the pollution through which you ride on a daily basis & your chances of ending up on a Hospital bed on a frequent basis due to reckless driving in crowded cities.
Way we drive with our vehicles on road is like madnesss; even if for environment reason few people take up cycles for commute; whats the gurantee of saftey :(
Bad roads, rash driving, can we take som initiatives on improving our wrong habbits :)
