What perks one will get is entirely dependent on the immediate manager. And 99% of the times, the Indian managers will do it only for their favourites in the team.
Perqs must be different for Top/middle and junior categorey. But in Govt. system, this difference is narrowed down, resulting a very huge impact of perqs. on public money. The Cost to the Govt. vis a vis carry home of junior is more than thrice.
The most irritating aspect as Gulnaz Ali* points out is "We are barred from knowledge of perks at the senior level, all we know about is what we're being offered at the moment"
