I am interested in doing something for the kids studying in any schools in Delhi (South Delhi particular, otherwise, it would be difficult to travel) on Saturday or Sunday. No money required. Over the last few years, I have observed the continued pattern of studying in most of the schools. Though I am not a teacher myself but due to my own interest, I always try to see things from different point of view. What I have noted that due to extreme pressure from the parents and socio-economic changes around us, the students are under extreme pressure of performance. During this process, the overall objective of generating more and more human and innovative students has lost long back.
What I feel that we may be producing more and more lawyers, doctors, engineers or MBAs but questions is are we really producing the true citizens who have futuristic vision and care for the country and environment around us. It is the same theory of Dr. Abdul Kalam who believe that %u201CToday%u2019s India need innovative people who have vision and courage to make India developed country%u201D. The traditional method of teaching is flawed with many problems which really does not support or encourage the innovative skills which every child carries. Every child needs to be encouraged so that their hidden innovative skills can be brought out.
Now question is how to encourage kids to bring out their innovative sense and also how to encourage kids that they take more interest in reading and innovat

hi Pankhudi Foundation is a registered NGO committed towards reforms and initiatives aimed at helping children lead better and meaningful lives. The organization started as an informal group of young students and professionals in 2005 and is currently active in six cities across India. Orphans, children with special needs and children living in underprivileged sections are our inspiration. As part of ~Pankhudi Delhi team, we are working at a slum (Okhla Slum, opposite Sukhdev Vihar bus depot, Mathura Road, Near Apollo Hospital). The focus is on basics of education as well as health and hygiene of children living in the slum. After interacting with inhabitants, we decided to start with basics of primary education. Regular weekly classes are being conducted on Sunday. The strength of kids is around 30. We are planning to start conducting classes on Saturday also once strength of active volunteer increases. Also our work has already started on a plan to involve educated people from local community, from slum itself, in teaching classes. We are looking for more volunteers who can help in increasing the span of our activities. You are most welcome to join. The process to join as a new member is very simple. Just send a request (a simple email) to join@pankhudifoundation.org
Thanks and regards Nitin Chapter Representative Delhi Team, Pankhudi Foundation

We are a registered NGOs Network organization functioning in Nalgonda District, Andhra Pradesh. This organization is named as Neelagiri Civil Societies Organizations Network (Neelagiri Network)with 11 NGOs as its members.
We have been working on Natural Resources Management, Awareness regarding Birth Registration among the rural people, organic farming, health camps, livestock management etc.
In our recent periodic meeting, after a thorough discussion, Neelagiri Network decided to work on 'WATER & SANITATION' in Nalgonda District. We would be working in 11 villages. We are in need of 11 volunteers who would shoulder the responsibility of conducting a status survey focusing on water & sanitation. Later based on the analysis of the survey a program would be chalked out. A help in this field would be appreciated.
