While money will give happiness to some extend money alone is not happiness. I have seen families, very rich but their life was not happy. After all happiness depends upon many factors and mere amassing of money will not bring happiness in a family. More than anything else the understanding between husband and wife is vitally important. If they can adjust themselves then there willbe only happiness in the family. Wealth makes us neither wise nor healthy.
Happiness is a state of mind and does not depend upon physical possessions. However, due to American influence all over the world, every thing is being measured in term of money. A person having more wealth (even ill begot) gets social recognition. In legal world, there are monetary damages claimed for any mental agony inflicted by another person.
I have a definite opinion that being too much involved with money limits our mental and spirtual attributes and takes us away from our true purpose in life
money helps us to live, teavel, suffer the pain comfortably . if one is rich he can marry a poor lady also. but the other way is more difficult. one can acquire qualifications/capablity etc if he can lprovide for it. in tamil a proverb states man without money is a dead man.
Happiness is associated with our deep desires, wants, expectations which money helps us to fulfill.
Money when earned from right source and spend wisely for ourselve and others can always bring happiness.
Money is only one of many factors leading happiness, or else all millionaire and billionaires have been most happiest person.
Happiness is state of mind. One may have hardly thousand rupees saving and yet live very happy life.
I feel that more than money, happiness is about zeroing in to our real urge that will make our life more fulfilling, eventful, blissful and persuing that factor, which is beyond money.
ha...its easy to say that money does not give everything. but today hapiness means a different thing to us. we want to buy whatever we see, earn as much as we could, go to all places and get very expensive gifts from our spouse..... if you are not doing this you r not happy... people feel it that way. well money means hapiness today. truth is it is never for along time....but we are so self centered to realise it.... so the boat of hapiness sails till we have money and the day we get to know that we can't buy everthing with money we just break and drown.
In an under-developed country, a little money can give a lot of happiness; but in a developed country nothing is more important than just having a friend to gossip with. Happiness is a feeling that comes from within. It cannot be created with material things. Lastly, "Money is not the most essential thing in life, but it influences everything that's essential"
So first step to be happy is to learn how to make money without losing relationships, morality, and culture. Money with self integrity generates the real happiness and satisfaction.
This world has been ruled with only two things MONEY and POWER.If you have money you can acquire power and vice versa.

This whole discussion is wrong because poor people who think about money all the time are unhappy and same is true for people with money.Money is road to happiness not the happiness itself.
It should also be noted that having money is not a sin or curse and not having money is also not a blessing.
