the inflation problem is not only hit india.....but throughout the region... look at the macro enviorment....all over asia the commodities are short in supply which has to lead to price increase.....couple it with the falling USD & sub-prime giving rise to crude oil price increase...
let us not insulate our knowledge from this enviorment.....the goverment is trying to counter inflation.....however with growth there is always inflation (basics of inflation)...
n once when everyone appluaded the call centres be prepared for the over-heating economy..
We all want our income to rise, but the cost of living to go down. The popular response will be to join the herd and lament, blame all & sundry. But let us look at the basics:
The main reason is the increase in energy price. It has to reflect somewhere. Oil price has gone up many times and is an essential item. Not only you need it for personal transport, but also in every other production process. Though efforts in conservation & alternative energy are under way, the results will take time. Corollary to that agricultural land is diverted for bio-fuels. It is not sustainable. It is found to be a losing proposition as more energy is wasted to produce these fuels! A costly learning curve!
Let us do our part. We should watch our steps & plan. I have seen people taking out their vehicles to buy a loaf of bread! In the process, the cost goes up many times. One can also time the AC to go off after few hours at night. We can reduce office AC by few notches.
Inflation is a world-wide phenomenon now. The international price of rice has more than doubled. The poor are suffering everywhere as most of the income goes towards basic food. But cost of electricals have come down. The China cheap factor will go out the window soon as wages are going up.
We have to find sustainable ways of living. We can contribute by growing our own vegetables by hydroponics and some self sacrifice.
We have also to do our part than taking it out with politicians everytime.

We should not restrict ourselves to blame game and be CHARCHA BAHADURS. Instead be KARMA BAHADURS like our freedom fighters, ANNA HAZARE, BABA AMTE, Dr.ABHAY BANG, RSS SWAYAMSEVAKS silently working and trying and do everything possible, howsoever small or insignificant it may appear, to bring about a change and cause a difference to the people around us to better the worsening situation of today.
The author must be mad for sure. WHICH POLITICIAN IN INDIA IS EFFECTED ON ACCOUNT OF PRICE RISE? IF THERE IS A PRICE RISE, THERE IS ALSO A RISE IN ALL THOSE CUTS POLITICIANS OR MINISTERS TAKE. AND MIND YOU NO CONGRESS WALA IS PERMITTED TO OR HAS THE GUTS TO TALK ABOUT PRICE RISE OR INFLATION UNLESS HE HAS WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE HIGH COMMAND.
everytime congress is in power the inflation rises to ts peak..now they know they cannot come to power so they have increased prices of all goods by asking money from industrialist; who havet o increase prices gradually..petrol is just an excuse....
Guys, according to present scenario even FM can't help it, because crude oil prices are increasing like anything. If the Crude oil prices are increased then that will affect entire retail market and other commodities.
I think we should not get married and produce kids. Just imagine no kids and family to look after, then whole salary is ours and we can even look after our parents much better.

No sex,no kids....Then old generation will raise and all will be aged persons rather than youngesters. There should be balance in young and old, children population.

There is no balance remaining in Nature. There should be a balance between plants, animals and humans but humans have outnumbered the rest. Until balance is restored, the situation will not improve. And weaklings eating crops growing on fertilisers will be produced. Then why to produce kids who will be weaklings?

The prices of Essential commodities have increased in March, where as the prices of Luxurious commodities have come down. If this continues we may have to import essential commodities. The government must provide more subsidies for Agriculture and take steps to curb exports of these products and improve its prodution. V.Muruga Prakash
