I think we missed the Meditation which was practiced by Buddha and later on Zen.
For your information the tech. which is used by Gautam the Buddha was the 1st Meditation tech. written in the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra it is talk between Lord Shiv & Parvati.
Dear Friends, we are fortunate to be born in a land of Lord Buddha. But unfortunately most of us forgot about The Buddha and His Dhamma. The benefits of Buddhism are not restricted to any land and its universal compassion is measure cause of people's satisfaction. You may know that Buddha's teaching was about Human Suffering and Cessation of these suffering. On the otherhand other religions teach about relation of Human beings with God and fail to stop suffering of people caused by people. Also, people propogate for their vested interest that Buddhism is part of Hindu religion. How can a distinct religion be a part of the some religion when it is diametrically opposite in philosophy and practice. Moreover, the propogators of Buddhism i.e. Monks are trained step by step in Buddhist philosophy whereas in Hindu religion propogators of it are born default in Brahmin caste. Bramhins are Head of the Hindu religion and assinged to propogate it irrespective of his qualification and even mentaly handicap Brahmin is treated as Religious leader. So there is no comparison of Hindu Religion with Buddhism interms of Philosophy, Practice instead they are enemy of each other. Buddhism is propogating equality among human beings whereas Hinduism is propogating Inequality amonge human beings through Solid Caste System. For more information people can read "The Buddha and His Dhamma" by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.

How can you name some one your enemy , when you claim that you are part of a wonderful and peace loving religion of great person Buddha.. ?? Ambedkar failed to be a buddhist in this sense, when he named brahmins and other hindus as his enemies...he should have tried to convert all hindus to buddhism through love and peace..instead he spread hatred against brahmins and other hindus..which proves he did'nt understand the meaning of buddhism ..

I agree with you that core philosophy of Hindusim and Buddhism may be diametrically opposite. But the way hindusim is spread (through brahmins) do not necessarily reflect its core philosophy. When you say that they are `enemy of each other' i can only smell a shallow understanding of both the religions on your part, or may be some bad experience making you adopt this extreme view!

That is a ridiculous assessment of Hinduism and Buddhism.
Was Krishna a Kshatriya.
The vast majority of the Rishis belonged to the lower economic groups. Caste system was solidified later on.
Many Hindu sages and saints have arose from the lower castes like Sree Narayana Guru, Guru Raidas, swami Vivekananda, Dadu, Tukaram, Guru ghaidas, Tiruvalluvar, Gohar,Kabir and others.
VAlmiki and Vyasa, who wrote the RAmayana and mahabharatha were from the shudra castes.
Also one from any caste can become a sannyasin or a propagator of Hinduism , in hindu society.
Many hindus from the lower castes have become sannyasins.
In the arya samaj, anyone from any caste can become a priest, if he has the aptitude and skills for it.
i think Lord Buddha was of mongoloid origin. But whatever, he was the greatest philosopher ever. Even though he propounded the Truth more than 2 millenia ago, people of the sub-continent who had the good fortune of having him in their midst did not learn or understand his teachings. That benefit went to the wiser people of China, Japan, Thailand etc. The Great Teacher opened up the mysteries of life of its sorrows and pain and discovered a balm for it. But it was not fantastic enough for our overheated imagination and underdeveloped understanding.

Whoever you are adi, your comment only shows how shallow your own understanding of Hindu Philosophy is. Buddha is a great philosopher who never wanted a seperate religion after him. He only wanted reforms in Hinduism. The so called wise people of China and Japan are anyway strictly non-vegetarian (ignoring Lord Buddha's basic tenets)and Buddhism as propounded by his followers has serious flaws.
I hope the next time you post a message, it will be backed by some serious thinking...
