Sidin, I really love that astrology thing maan. You rock. You are the next Scott Adams. You can actually find a job in company like Infy and satire about the managers there. You could be make millions. I loved the fun there when I worked. Infy produces the best Indbert kind of managers. Sidin rocks!

Astrology - A great science to merely guide our lives becomes a powerful tool in hands of fakers but then to be fair, which profession doesnt! We have substitute "doctors" in quacks, money looters in the disguise of travel/passport/driving licence agents! What the hell! With CVs being fudged left right and center, even the erstwhile "safe" jobs like IT or management have their own share of pretenders.
But given the kind of thought and effort, we humans put in "fudging" up details, that is something we all have to learn to live with.
At least the astros of the world dont murder anyone! (If you contemplate suicide after going through an exhorbitant personal session thats filled with gory details of how your life will be torn apart in the next few moments to come, its not the same. Is it?)
But nevertheless, the writing as always exceeds the expectations :)
This made for frank & interesting reading. The beauty with astro forecasts is that if it is negative, it comes out 100% true, while a posi- tive forecast has no more than a 10% chance of realization. For instance, if the astrologer on TV says you will have eye trouble that day, you can already feel the irritation under your eye- lids ! If the forecast says you are in for a windfall, it means your neighbour who borrowed Rs. 15 to pay the auto fellow last tuesday for want of ready change, is returning you the amount that day !.
Great one again. I have always laughed at the Astrology columns.. could relate to every sentence here. The writing is very sharp. I look forward to your articles. Created a Rediff id just to comment on this article.

i agree with you Usha, this person posts atleast 100 useless comments a day and that too with a fraud name like "on"

The ultimate chicanery of most soothsayers are best illustrated by the antics of the Ancient Oracles of the temple of Delphi: who said to a couple who desired them to to tell if they should expect an infant to be Male or female;Former said:' No boy, -girl', that could with shifting the comma , sayt neither, , boy or Girl as that exhausts logically all possibilities...
