In this set of yoga, navkasana is the best one. You must build up stamina over a few weeks/even months, to hold the pose for a few minutes at least. Double leg drops( dwipada uttanpadasana) are also super work-outs for ab fat.

Whatever has been covered till now -- we have done over four parts of therapeutic sets in yoga -- all invariably also affect the metabolism. Though the poses have been picked for each set for their primary impact on the problem under discussion, they also aid weight loss. So, I suggest you start with those for starters, extending time in each pose, so you can either do several sets or hold each pose for a minute or more. This has to be built up over a four weeks or so. And if you don't lose flab by then, with the 24 poses we have covered so far, then I would be very very surprised! So start now...

i have a chronic digestion problem (indigestion or slow digestion). Also my stomach is sensitive to many foods. Doctors suspect it could be either Irritable Bowel Syndrome or a Liver problem. Coupled with this i have acidity sometimes. Please suggest me a solution.

Am giving you three links of poses that help with the specific problems you have mentioned. The links also have simple diagrams on how to do these pose. In this, the first one has a list of poses for all digestive problems -- from these select only those relevant for IBS. The second one has suggestions on foods to be avoided. And for acidity, you can also try these pranayamas -- alternate nostril breathing (nadi shodhana), bhramari (humming bee), and regular practice of vajrasana (thunderbolt) for five minutes before and after a meal. Most important, you can start a regular meditation practice. If you find it difficult to meditate on your own, I suggest you meditate with dhyana tapes (most ashrams have these for sale and also now these are available at well-known bookshops) or visit sites like SwamiJ.com which has online meditations on for 24-hours. The latter, dhyana, will definitely be the most important part of your healing.

Supta Pawan muktasana is the best anti-flatulence pose. Vajrasana before and after meals also provides relief. There are some life-style reasons that cause flatulence. Check the list I give below to see if you are contributing in any fashion towards that: chewing gum, talking while eating, not chewing food, eating too fast, or having a high vata dosha (which means certain foods must be avoided -- a net search should give you the sort of foods that vata doshas should avoid).
thanks shammeem, I have book marked all your articles on rediff and a few on back exercise, around 8 asanas I do. I feel nice. Thanks. Please keep going here, and if you are a Muslim there will be some abuses here on this forum by some fanatics. There was one in bad taste. I am myself a supporter of RSS, so, I am sure you are wise to shrug it off and continue doing good things in life.
My age is 23 years.I am suffering from too much acidity and flatulance. My acidity problem remains all the day. Please suggest me some yogic asanas to solve my problem.

Riju, please see the response I've given above for Lakhapateji. It should answer your query.
Apart from yoga to cure indigestion, flatulance, etc there is a need to eat proper balanced diet at regular intervals. That takes care of hyperacidity and other digestive illnesses.
