Yogita, you may go in for Business Administration (BBA) of Fashion Designing. After BBA though, you'll have to do MBA to have a nice career. Fashion Designing has equally growing future

Study or Job
by Shashikant Magdum on Mar 30, 2007 04:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We see many successful businessman around....all are not well educated or fromally educated. THen why they are successful? To get a success in any field one should have a. capacity to work b. Willingness to work c.Capability to understand what to do....d. differentiate between opportunity & threats e.skills to perform a job.

All these issues must be known to individual or get it understood from formal education.

Yu can see world class Mould makers in area like Kolhapur...are they formally trained ....NO...they are born like that & they know that they are good at Mould making....likewise if anybody knows what he/she is best at then education will make the progress chart lucrative...

Slef inetrospection & liking is more imporatnt than what is the trend. Many parents does not understand or pay attention to their KIDS they dump their wishes on shoulders of KIDS & the result are ....?

Moral of the story is " Listen to heart...work with head" do not follow a sussessful person blindly....understand & analyse why it is so?

Best Of luck to all carrer builders...

PARIMALA I THINK THERE IS NO COURSE IN JOURNALISM IN UNDER GRADUATE LEVEL IN PUNE UNIVERSITY. BUT IT IS IN P.G.LEVEL. AND AFTER COMPLETING YOUR GRADUATION YOU MAY TRY FOR P.G. COURSE.

Careers after Std. XII
by Muralidharan Mahalingam on Mar 30, 2007 01:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Young boys and Girls should not jump at the prospects of job opportunities.

A refined person - one who becomes refined through studies, has a better understanding of circumstances and events, is more sober and more matured than an uneducated and uncivilised person. It is this factor that counts in organizations as people move to higher levels. This in turn will lead to better opportunities

So young Boys and Girls, study as much as you can now. Think of jobs after that

i do not agree completely with what muralidharan has to say- i have worked for a month after my 10th- this was because my father wanted confirm my choice of further education. after 12th i had 9 months free and had worked for 6 months again. i have not completed my degree and am working. of course my family have helped me a lot in terms of getting the work.. so if you want to work then be sure you are getting a job.. my opinion towards education isnt the best one has to offer so you would be better off listening to people who do like text books. a degree does help to get jobs a lot more easily.. and i am studying via correspondence to get a degree- this for those who think degrees are useless. this is how indian society works..

I Disagree with with Mahalingam

I have worked my way during my graduation days, thanks to my Dad's persuasion, & have benefited most from it. Yes there were no call centres then but you still had wok. I also found myself more matured than most graduates on completion of my degree since I could get a wholistic view of business. It also helped me in my professional growth. I would suggest that one should work whilst they study if they have the chance. Some degrees may not give youthe luxury to do so, in those cases try & get summer jobs. they do help. It keeps you ahead of your peers 1 step ahead in the rat race.

COMMERCE IS A CRAZE IN MAHARASHTRA. SO DONT BOTHER ABOUT YOUR CAREER.THERE WILL BE MANY INSTITUTES PROVIDING CA OR ICWA COURSE IN PUNE. GO THERE AND FIND YOUR ANSWER. AND AS FAR AS YOUR PERFORMANCE IS CONCERNED, REMEMBER ONE THING THAT NO ONE IS BORN PRODIGY. TRY HARD TO WELL EQUIP YOURSELF."A mistake is an opportunity to learn but, an opportunity to learn doesn't necessarily have to be a mistake."

Never think that you are an average only on teh basis of marks...these marks will be worth less after few years...try to discover urself through your interests areas and then move ahead
