yes this will be a good move if the university offer some prog at P.G LEVEL it will help the students to do part time job specially 4r ennomically poor students who r unable to continue their studies after graduation
what is new in this,this is going at many places like in rajasthan say night classes. yes they have taken good step to facilitate more students who could not get admission or not able to join classes. of course the responsibility of the administration will go up and they must fullfill it.
It is good as many who cannot get morning slot allotments can attend evening. But the problem is protection to women who attend in night shifts. Will colleges owe the responsibility for that. It is alos good that we can make use of good teachers more than 12 hours and give them fat salary so that we can attract better talent to teaching
There is nothing new in this. It had been done in Andhra Pradesh since ages. It is just a question of sharing the infrastructure of classrooms at different times. The evening college concept is the same. The classes are held in the evening. My college Andhra Christian College, Guntur had this concept from before Independence. We call them batches u call them shifts - morning shift/ batch afternoon batch / shift. The bonding. sense of belonging, the team spirit is not there. It becomes a conveyor system like in a factory. There are no games, going to the canteen, ogling at the other sex and whatever we do in college. The spirit is not there. All these institutions giving CAT GRE GMAT tutions also use this concept - hiring schools in the off hours so it is a use of empty infrastructure and a killing of the "joi de vivre" the life the spirit of educating oneself. It makes economic sense and a comlete loss of human spirit.A killing of growing up, teenhood. I pity those who have no oppurtunity to enjoy life like the way their parents did.
India Shining!! Its all about how much India has developed in the last 5 years and how much it would in the next 5-10 years. Thanks to the business of outsourcing which has been a major contributor to the overall development. More and more youngsters today want to start earning young and they are people who would offer them a good bargain. There are thousands of them who are earning well but heart in heart they know that someday they will need to bank on education which they have missed because of the whole lucrative market. By introducing shifts there would not only be many young office goers who would want to join as students but hundreds of teachers out there who have quite their profession because of the money other fields offer but have a passion for academics. I appreciate and encourage the idea of shifts and if anyone complaints of how tough it is, ask people who have achieved greatness, it doesn%u2019t come easy.
As we all know that the population of our country is high and day by day awareness of education is incising. Presently we are not having a sufficient colleges and students are getting very good score but they are not getting an admission in good college. In case we introduce two shifts in colleges which will help many students to get an admission. At the same time we should ensure that admission will be given only on merits with minimum percentage of 75% marks in %u2018A%u2019 class college to maintain the standard. It will also provide more jobs for professors. We all know that the manufacturing companies as well as R&D work in two shifts same way we have more demand in education hence we should introduce the same to meet the demand supply ratio.
We should have some additional incentive for professor who is willing to work in 2Nd shift.
This is a good move as it will enable many poor students to complete studies along with their jobs. Now poor Open cateory students will also get benefited... Good move

i am former student of st xavier collage (night shift ) and i am very proud to be associated with them. their professor teach not only book knowledge they teach professional value if that kind of teaching is every where is should be very good.
