In Tamil Nadu, people are taking advantage of reservation for 3 to 4 generations!
Reservation should be APPLICABLE ONCE PER FAMILY PER LIFE TIME. May be TWICE FOR TWO CHILDREN, though its difficult to manage in these days of corruption.

People in the SC/ST categories are given a good opportunity by providing the Reservation. Once a person becomes IAS officer then will he give up asking for reservation for his kids saying his kids are in better situation compared to a middle class family.
The answer will be a BIG NO.
So in these cases we should tag the people getting jobs based on reservations after first generation benefit holders.
Like
Mr. MAX, B.TECH, IAS(SC QUOTA) - If he gets the IAS job based on SC QUOTA and if his parents has benefitted by SC Reservation.
Though this sounds like teasing if this is made a rule we can see many SC/ST/BC's opting for no reservation atleast in the second generation- Giving a chance for the real people in need of the reservation. Thus helping in the social equality.

It is actually 80% of the people who are included. The brahmin population in the state has fallen from 15% to less than 5% today.
Reservations for all means reservations for none. If the current trend continues, there will be 69% reservations covering 100% of the people in not too distant a future.
I dont understand how anyone has to complain about such spectacular "progress".
Every person should have equal oppourtunity based on their skills and no other consideration. There should be an effort to provide amenities to all below certain family income level with books and libraries or reading areas so that they have resources to put in effort and hard work and prove their worth. No other freebies... By reserving quota for some on caste or economic level you deprive someone else of their capabilities. This is bound to create rift between the ones being wrongly showered with freebies and the ones being robbed of their efforts. Treat everyone equal to end the animosity and grouping of people.

Reservation for economically backward people from economical backward regions, irrespective of the caste will benefit the society; otherwise the disparity will be even more obvious as India develops and as things are get more and more expensive-food, housing. ..etc and jobs are becoming more demanding and competitive. The economic backward person needs a little push to get up and running. But no reservation should exist in private sector jobs-for that degrades the economic output and creates a bad precedence- let the educated and the skilled figure out how to survive by themselves. That way reservation helps. Also being a democracy we%u2019d like to see elected politicians are pro-economical development, which benefits all of us. If we don%u2019t help the backward, their population being more, their representatives may not support our objectives in the long run. So its in the interest of all of us that we pull the old wagon as we go forward. In China, for example without reservation the difference between poor and rich are widening so much that at some point it might destabilize the communist party-so they are creating SEZs in the interiors to increase the economic investment.

I am against any reservation in jobs. Reservation is a cancer for our country and leaders are mosqutoes. If a right jot is not doing by a right person what will happen anybody knows. But for vote bank nothing is important for our leaders. Yes you must have to give reservation and amenities in basic & necessary qualification so they compte with general people.
One side our leaders are giving them SC certificate and another side if any person call them SC he shall prisioned.

Quota rioters don't give a damn about reason. They'll just steal because they can. Time for a separate state.
Quotas are easypass.. doesn't improve their competitiveness or competence for highly challenging global environment... If you are saying that they did not improve in past 58 years following this quotas.. when will they improve.. Easy pass allows them to go thru the bridge and get a job but what about performance?

There should be 100% reservations for SC/ST.. reservation should be everywhere.. even in indian cricket team... currently there is a opening for indian coach.. SC/ST should be appointed for that..

If people beg for 100% reservation.. then give them 100% reservation.. after some years they will realize that they dont deserve it.. and they themselves will demand No reservation....
People who are honest and hard-working, and who don't want to be oppressed by the quota extortion, should come together and campaign for a separate state, just like Jharkhand or Chattisgarh. By achieving a separate state for themselves, they can leave behind the thuggery of the reservation-seekers. The thugs can then sit around and award 200% quota allotments to each other. But 200% of nothing is still nothing. The thugs should be left behind. There is no point arguing with idiots until one is blue in the face. Idiots should be left behind to rot in the hell of their own making. If you make your bed, you should lie in it. A separate state for hard-working people will shut the thugs up, because then they won't be able to wrap their tentacles around us. The quota-mongers are bloodsuckers. Separate state for the honest! No point arguing with crooks, because crooks will always argue crookedly. Separate state like Chattisgarh or Jharkhand. Don't allow quota-seekers in. Keep them out.

We can have objective evaluation criteria, and specific laws like no quotas allowed. The Left are so corrupt, that next thing you know, they will ask for minimum quota of parliamentary seats. They will demand extra votes for SC/ST. They don't care -- there is no limit to their greed. They will take as much as they can get, and they will simply make up as many crooked arguments as they can. Their arguments are already shameless as it is, so there is no telling how low they will go. Unless a response is found, they will literally eat up everything in sight. The only fitting response is to call for a separate state. Honest people shouldn't have to beg for fair treatment. Crooks will never give fair treatment when the option to cheat and blackmail is available. Only a campaign for a separate state will keep the thugs in check. Failing that, then the crooks will steal everything. Honest people need to be able to negotiate from a position of strength, and not from a position of supplicancy. Separate State. Now.
