It is wrong to do reservation when all are equal in eyes of God. This is same as treating some one as more equal then compared to other. What we should do is a law which has religion printed in forms should be banned. Only nationality to be included. All schools and colleges should be nationalised like banks and every one should have same syllabus and same type of exam. Then these problems will be solved. It should be conducted the way election commission conducts the elections may be in phases or at once.
Reservation should be based on economic condition of the indiviuals because in our country poverty is all over spread in all religion and in every caste. to uplift the social status economic condition should be the criteria. present policy is based on DIVIDE AND RULE policy. it will give serious result like partition of country on caste or religion basis.to eradicate poverty it should be considered seriously
It is all politically moved issue.These politicians are very smart and are aware that it is a very sensitive issue. And people also easily get carried away by their bhashanbhaji. By alloting quotas or reservation we are depriving those people to be on their own and meet challenges of the world. Making them handicap so that they should depend on and beg to the politicians for their survival. IF they become independent then who will run the business of these politicians? By keeping quotas how much of the mass is benefitted. They are still what they are at the time of independence. One side we & govt. teaches not to make caste and creed distinction and on the other side the government breaks the law. I thing it is high time that the people relise this and come to gether to fight the selfish mottos of the greedy leaders who are there just to mint money and to keep their importance.

Before going for merits of SC/ST reservation. Let us define what is caste based reservation. It was meant for real down trodden people of society How caste is decided? 65% of people enjoying caste benefit are having fake certificate. There should be a DNA test to define lower caste Simply by obtaining a certificate from a tehsildar/or other similar officials can make you a ST/SC. Then see the %u2018Sur%u2019 names used by these beneficiaries like Sings, Choudhrys, Jatvas, Yadavs and many others(For example see fantastic %u2018sur%u2019 names in ST/SC list of house allotments by DDA (half of them are not SC/ST).What is this going on from last 60 years of independence. Its a mockery of democracy ,nothing else. And some day people have to pay back benefits taken by them in name of caste. A civil war in future can not be rule out on this issue. I think care takers of this nation are 'listening'
I total disagree with the reservation based on caste. All the person who avail the reservation are from creamy layer in the reservation quota and actual needer are still not benefited. The weaker section should be helped in getting the level of appreciation.
This is high time to stop this reservation based on religion. This is very cheap and bad politics. I have a request to all those people who are reading this and against the reservation. Please don't caste vote for that person/political party saying that reservation is required.
I have suggestion to the Indian Governement as well as state governements.
First - Indian governement should leave the reservation as a matter of states. There should not be a single rule for India. Because the situation vary from State to state.
Second - The states depends upon thier capability, announce a limit of economical class that are eleigible for free education and free medicine(For some expensive treatments in the begining). These limits can be increased from time to time. The politicians will be interested to announce this increase at least once in every five year term. Common people will get the benefit.
At any cost caste wise classification should be eliminated from India. Even asking the religion in any types of government applicaiton forms or even from school forms to be banned completely.
Nobody is against reservation but it should be based on the financial conditions of the candidate and not on the basis of his/her religion/Caste. At present I am staying in a housing colony of a giant PSU. Here, almost 80 per cent belongs to SC/ST/OBC categories and their children are most affluent and lavish in spending. Their living style is no way less than rich upper caste persons. They are going to the best and most expensive schools in the locality. They are attending the best coaching classes. But inspite of all these facilities, their academic performances are very poor. WHY ?????????? Because it has gone to their blood that even scoring poor marks they would be successful in getting admission in IIT/good professional colleges due to Reservations. An example, our next door SC boy had scored just 52 per cent marks in H.S., but still he got admission in a class I Engineering college. Now another day his mother was telling my wife that her son now desires to study Naval Architecture in IIT. Listening to this I got shocked. My god! this boy is even dreaming to get admission in IIT without knowing basics of Science & Maths ? Where from he got this strength??? I asked to myself. And the answer I got is it is because of Reservation and Political pampering.
My son is toiling hard since std IV and working very hard in all the Saturdays/Sundays/holidays/vacations to remain advanced in Maths/Science so that he can fulfill hi

"gone to their blood"? De... you dumb idiot reservations have existed for 3000 years when you consider that ALL the elite/ intellectual positions were reserved by blood-sucking brahmins. It is essential that historically less privileged classes are given some chance to uplift themselves. Also there so many unfilled backlogs which prove that this wretched hindu society has and will never change for the better. India fragmenting and brahmin slaughter is inevitable. ;-)

See Guys , there is no point in abusing each other... Can any one of you guys opposing the caste based reservation system marry a guy or a girl from a SC/ST community( if they dont have money)... I dont deny about the possiblity of certain percetage of good human beings who will do it, but majority of people who write all statements in rediff wouldnt ... because everyone's word is just for their own self benefit and please dont project as if all you guys are working for the welfare of our Country...I am in switzerland and doing well( not less than any OC candidate) in my studies just because of the reservations that helped my parents to study and get jobs... I want a make a mention that i have never used any of the reservations in my studies... What has gone in blood Dear brother.... The slavery that has been imposed on a particular community for thousands of years , if you guys cant tolerate for just 50 year imagine about those who are still not allowed to enter inside houses and temples. Can anyone of you go to one village in our country and work for the equality of our own kind.
It took one generation in my case to come up... similarly it will take generations to change the life of people who have been explioted for thousands of years.Many of the SC/ST are in a statre where they dont even know what reservations are...... One Sad thing is there is blue cross for safety of animals ( people cry fro a cat getting injured ).. no one seems to be bothered about their own kind

mr. Sunil kumar, The answer is in your meessage. It is thousands of years of practice where lower class was not allowed to study. Now, it is first generation who are studying. Mr. Shanehind, the upper caste nor elevated because of their sheer intelligence but because of their cunning ideas of not allowing others to come up in their life. After independence atleast the government has taken some bold steps u people could not tolerate this

This is exactly what Congress wants and has done for 55 years of misrule. Keep masses illiterate and backwards and under control. Give them some sops every election time and win votes on caste and emotional platform. They turned Muslims against Hindus raising minority-majority bogey first. Now they are dividing Hindus by turning the forward upper castes against OBCs against ST/SCs. Why educate and empower people to make them masters of their own destiny where Congress' dynastic rule and corruption will be questioned? Better to keep them fighting each other so no one can question them while they loot, pilferage and suck this country of it's property, farms, money, taxes and what not. Divide and Rule and now we have another foreigner in Congress to replace the British.
well i beleive that the prelims on which reservation was actually based was right to an extend but now it has actually become a political tactic. The actual intent behind the scheme was to support the ones with limitations and today those grounds have become irrelavent. First of all the current reservation system should be scrapped. If at all the government is interested in continuing with the reservation system then the ground on which it is provided must be overhauled. Today society is more structured on economic grounds rather than caste grounds.
