Why do we require reservations? In India there are many families who cannot afford to send their children to schools becuase of money constraints. Thats the only true reason. Other families are keeping them away because they are of lower caste? Well I have studied in elite English Meduim school of my town and many of my friends belog to Lower caste and they studied with me without any constraints.
Should govt. provide reservations based on Caste? Here is a question, is it that only lower caste children are kept away from schools because of their caste? It is a fact that parents does not send their children to school because they cannot afford
Reservation based on income? There are families who have not paid taxes from last 5-8 years because their low income. For children of such families govt. should provide reservation.
This reservation is from 1950 and the politicians are extending and I hope they will be extending the reservations not only for SC and ST but also for B.C. for another 50 years. Let them do it- no worries but why don't they give preferance to the socially backward classes in those reserved categories? A person who has benefitted by reservation should cease to be in the same category and his/her ward has to come under O.C., The only, the reservation policy will be good or otherwise it will be a pure discrimination against the so called upper castes.-Ravi.
Most of the Politicians in India are double-standard! On one side they are "No discrimination" & on the other side they introduce reservation for the backward classes! Come on!! What are you trying to prove??? Instead why don't you have reservations for the creamy layer with a financial problem? If you are going to have reservations for backward castes.. Where are the rest going to go?? Actually the politicians itself are backward! It's our fault that we are voting for such two-faced snakes!
Karunanidhi, DeveGowda, Mulayam Yadav, Lalu, Veerappa Moily, Kumarasamy , Achuthanandan, are all BCs or OBCs -- What discrimination have they suffered ?? It is not about social justice, it is about exploiting sentiments // the "upper castes" have to vote in every election - at 8.am then you will see a change in the language spoken by the politicians.. There is not point in discussing ideology// The BCs and OBCs are actually ruling India and they have found an nice ploy - just abuse the brahmins and you will get votes !!
The "upper castes" should stop discussing politics and writing to letters to the editor and should start voting.. They should also protest caste based frauds committed by politicians- who is our minister of state for Home - a lady who does not know anything but just belongs to a powerful caste in TN and is close to Karunanidhi.. that is all it takes to become a minister!! ( of course her husband was a history sheeter who is supposed to have been killed in an encounter )) that is all it takes - can you believe??
reserve the right to speak, reserve the right to get basic education, reserve the right for poor to improve the living. just give them the right to takeover with out fighting for it is meaningless. govt should aid them, support them not just give them.
Teach all poor,s/c s/t,obc free.Give them free coching.Bring them at par with others,But do not employ people who after free coching cannot come upto the standard.

currupted politician are only elected by sC and ST not by general people. When general caste boycott them that time they realize
I feel India should be divided into two parts. One for the pro-quota caste people and other for general people. Let the pro-quota people who are crying foul of discrimation occupy all the jobs starting from jhadudar to Rastrapati and live happily in their part.
