caste reservation is menaing less-shoul be stopped. in all caste poor people are there. all rich are there? free and good education to every one and make them competitive rather than keep them as a back ward and offer them something.
here is my experience, i am from a forward caste- but while student no support from parents-relatives etc. living on the side of a petrol fill station. working as a daily wages to meet my expense. but still i was rich as per list. when i was in my PG suffereing without food some of students of so called back ward were childrens of both parents employeed/ or in foreign country earning good money. but still they get free food, books, cocessions etc. out of one, enjoyed two years of every thing free and at the end one day prior to exam burned all his books and left the free hostel and go home. now you decide atwhat is the use of reservation on caste basis. every one should get competitive specially in the rural area needs more educational institution and other facilities to bring all people to equal status.
the people who talk about reservation and eradicate poverty- why do not marry a backward caste and bring the family up. if each politician do one or two like that-by now India would have had non caste and equal, competitive country.
A society has to have Affirmative Action for the underprivelaged sections of society. Sections which have been discriminated against have to be uplifted. Hence reservations and special attention for them are required. This has to be done with sufficient care and must be monitored for its effectiveness. It must also be time bound.Hence the reservations for SC / ST are required. It is the OBC reservations which are not in this spirit and are leading to further dividing Indian Society. I write this as a person belong to the non-reserved category!

Reservation should be only for the person whose economic condition is not good, not on the basis of caste.
no reservations to be provided unless the person is brilliant in all aspects. it is not the caste and religion. please treat all as human beings. i am against caste but BE supportive to human.
Reservation for the lower income groups should be allowed in education but not by caste, if we continue cast reservations people will never forget caste.Reservation should be allowed in one family for onetime, atleast certain condition are required to use cast reservations.

I think, we have to help thoes people who are poor economically, i have seen SC/ST people who are millionars, you want to give them benifits. help people who really needy, i am not against SC/ST.
No reservation should be given to any caste. Reservations should only be for the physically disabled people who want to do something in life.
Consider a SC/ST doctor who completed his medical degree with barely minimum marks. Would you like to go to that doctor and ask for treatment from him?
There should not be ANY kind of reservation for ANY position/education.
we are in 21st century.we talk about our progress....our dream of being a developed nation , then y do v need reservation on caste.isn't it the proof of being d most backward nation???...gaush.. if any reservation is required then it is on economic status.many people r there who are 4m backward classes but their economic condition is good enough then y is there a need 4 reservation 4 them if they can make their bread easily.i think our constitution should b revised and some changes r required.
Reservations should never be on the basis of caste/religion/. Only INTERST FREE LOAN should be given to FINANCIALY BACKWORD people .if realy we want to built up a strong nation.all goverment facilities should withdraw immditely those financial position is strong LIKE MLA,MINISTERS,TOP OFFCIERS. ETC
Nehru's reservation policy goals have been long twisted out of their original purpose. Anyway, here is my proposal for future.
Economic condition and Reservation: -> Primary and Secondary education should be provided free for children whose parents are ecnomically backward by both public and private educational institutions. Education for students who can afford it should be provided at a cost. -> For higher education, **good students** whose parents are not financially capable of educating their children should be given financial aid in both public & private institutions so they can compete in the real world. -> Employment for economically backward should be provided through "affirmative action" by both private and public companies. SOPs will be provided by Central Govt for those whose performance on "affirmative action" is exemplary. THERE SHOULD BE NO FIXED RESERVATION IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS.
Social Condition and Reservation: -> If the rights of an individual are violated because of belonging to a social group, community, religion, caste or creed, then a legal action should be allowed against those who perpetrate it and/or abett it. -> There should be a social and political solution worked out to represent all communities in the local, state and central governments. This will ensure the law makers to be fair. -> Religious leaders should be consulted and utilised in an appropriate manner to influence communities during troubled times.

among the few that i read, this seems to be a sensible one . as for me, i would say give the encouragement to any underprivilege upto a certain level (say graduate level0 after which only merit should be the criterion.
Reservations should never be on the basis of caste/religion/sex. Only financial help should be given to the people of BPL based on economic background.
