IF the government is interested in giving away quota than they should example 1. by allowing quota doctors to treat all the politican. 2. only quota soldier can protect them
Reservations was done for a noble cause , but hypocrite that we are , It is/was used in such a disgraceful manner that we are seeing a sudden outbusrt against it. It is not the problem with the policies , but implemeneting and stricting abiding by is the problem . As the saying goes "YATHA RAJA THATHA PRAJA" , it a Corrupt Govt for Corrupt people .
I Fully against reservation on Cast & Triable on the contarary it should be on merit basis & income basis only & Specialy in important place like Education & health etc You never give reservation which we are Know the Arjun Singh & Mr.V.P.Singh does this is purely differs person to person. I Know in my College life one of teacher does not having Knowledge of Social Science & Economic even just becouse of reservation he apointed on the Prestigious post of lecturar of economics he 90% time talk about the Shoe Shine Technique of his Communities & skin removing technique etc.
Reservation facilities have already been enjoyed by the SC/ST communities since a generation, now their next generation should compete with the unreserved category. I know of a couple who from my contemporaries who studied Medicine and Engineering with less than 50%marks, why should their children be considered Backward or less preivileged? Such cases should be asked to come forward and surrender their 'Passport' - and may be felicitated for giving others their rights! It is because of this reason only that people from unreserved category prefer to go abroad, high time we think about this aspect also to reduce our brain-drain.
About time we did away with reservations completely. In fact a phased process should have begun on expiry of the initial ten years as provided in the Constitution. All caste/religion/social grouping/tribe based concessions must be withdrawn immediately. The only criterion to determine the handicap of backwardness should be the financial weakness of individuals/families. To help such backward classes, financial aid must be provided in terms of free education, meals at school, cost of uniforms , exemption from fees for appearing in entrance exams. Admissions to institutions of learning and enrollment in jobs (public or private) must be on MERIT and MERIT alone. Politicians - FOR GOD's SAKE, and for the sake of this country, Stop dividing the society on the basis of caste...etc and make this nation a land of EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES for all irrespective of caste, creed or religion as envisaged in the Constitution. So HELP US GOD.

I fully agree with you it is high time the politicians in our country stop using the reservation as a vote bank.Even Dr B.R.Ambedkar had wanted this facality for a limited period.

I've been a vehement supporter of MERIT based society .Those who put in hard work and are sincere only shine othere s are condemned to be what they are .Reservation was a tool that AMBEDKAR had to personal grudge against the educated class he has carved out a sub-standard work ehtics amongst the lower class of the society.He is responsible for the politicians to dance to the tune of masses 50% who bieng ill leterate. if we offer free education that will do the job for the citizens of india .All business house and politicians come forward declare their incomes and get tax free incomes if they pldge their wealth to EDUCATING THE POOR.
The "elite" media is viewd by elite people only. Thats why you see 90% of them say no to reservation. Please remember unlike other countries INDIA IS A CAST BASED COUNTRY. Though the elite educated class exhibit so much of opnen mindness / forward thinking etc etc... my dear friends, in the underneeth of your mind you still practice untouchability. Thats why these elite audience are against reservations. Please note.. these group of underprebvilege were suppressd for many many years. It require lots of time to bring them to main stream. A state which brought up these suppressd class could give one President and one Chief Justice to India from those backward class

DO YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO ARGUE FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT FROM UR COMMUNITY?? Youur mind is closed.. you cant. You never lived in village.. never studied with poor people. Your loved one is in hospital and struggling for life(I wish this does not happen ) and you want that the efficient doctor to look into the matter. However, there is doctor who has become a doctor on quota basis (unefficient doctor...scored low through out his career). Will you still be interested in allowing him to treat your loved one. Give me your honest answer.
Or imagine a case .....your loved one is flying in Indian Airlines or Air India and that crashes. After the inquiry you came to know that the aircraft has some fundamental problem which could be avoided if there was efficient person (I am assuming most of the quota guys gets promoted on the basis of caste and not on the basis of merits....am I right.)
How do you feel now ?
Why these bullshit politicans go abroad for treatment...why they cant get it treated here in India by a quota doctor ?

Sir.. You know about the doctors now?? Scoring less mark in 2 ... pay 30 to 40L to private medical colleges, addicted to drugs during studies etc etc. So you are happy such doctors looking at your dear one??
How many are addicted my dear friend. Nobody is fool who pay 30-40L and not sure of getting thru the exams. Indeed they are not quota people...they have to score full passing marks to make themselves considered as doctors.
I doubt Jacob that you belong to FC. If you would have been belonging to FC. You would not have advocated non-merit quota system

I am deeply delighted to see your committment to the topic of reservation. Those who are opposing to reservation are ignorant about the social set up in India. They lack in brother-hood. They lack in vision. They are shortsighted, selfish and the "children of blacks" i.e. those who are enjoying on the black money. Ecelleing in the exams by dubious means and getting adminsions by paying huge capitation fees. As you have rightly pointed out about the capitation fees. They have no proper answer. They do not agitate against such inferior people, rather they boast as to how they got admission by paying capitation fees. They even acquire job through dubious means i.e. by paying donations and others. If there needs to be a competation then it should be among equals. equality among unequals tentamounts inequality. Reservation is linked with national growth. No nation can leap forward unless its people are progressed. Hence inorder to bring the less fortunate bretherns in to the national main stream, there should a reservation together with the penal proviosn for those who are not impementing the scheme of reservation. This country has a long history of reservation. Therere were reservation for certain people to acquire education, only certain people could use weapon, do business and others were left to the mercy of others anmd were forced to serve these class of people without proper remuneration. Sir.. I am so calld Syrian Christian From Kerala.. classified as FC and I am not enjoying any reservation benefits. BUT I AM WITH BACKWARD PEOPLE.... DO YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO ARGUE FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT FROM UR COMMUNITY??
I am totally against the reservation. Govt. should cancel all types of reservations. Instead of reservation Govt. should plan for providing scholarships, giving relaxations in Fee, etc. to all backward people so that if any of them who is capable of develop himself, who they have mind to grow will get better education and later on get jobs in competitive market.
SC/ST Reservations is a sure shot way to split our country on the basis of caste. Throughout history, inspite of being one of the world's most intelligent people, we have always been ruled and exploited because the whole world knows,and in today's scenario especially our neighbours that we are the biggest bigots and fools, when it comes to our caste system.Time and again they have defeated and dominated us , created unrest and upheavel within the country by using this evil.I personally request all the intelligensia of modern India lets use our brains for once stop dividing our motherland on the basis of caste. If we must adopt reservations let it be on the basis of economic status of the family. I have met so many SC/ST individuals who have told me that they agree with me because SC/ST has become a weapon in the hands of the politicians and people who inreality dont require the benefits. The true deservers (the poor) of reservations are exploited by the rich folk even within the SC/ST group, and the benefits never reach those who truly need it.We dont need reservation on the basis of caste. What we need is to utilise our efforts to ensure that every Indian has an equal opportunity to grow. It is wrong notion that there exists rich SC/ST group. There may be a very small section of these category. But, lets us find out how many are industrialists, how many are there in news, media etc. How many are occupying group A posts in Government. How many are there in sports and other fields etc. There are in fact none or negligible. Let them dominate each and every field then stop reservation. In our country sound people are harassing lame and still they want a compition between them and lame. What a rubbish preposition. Well to do persons in this country need to guide ther siblings in such a way that they will not carry the cultural bondage dominated by pernicious practious of castism. How such people will rule this country in futre is self explanatory by their attitude.
