some of our readers would have experienced the SBI CARDS excess charges this has happened about fice to four months may be due to software bug they never realised about this and they keep on debiting and crediting some time reversing ultimateley card member is loser in fact some of my friends told SBI card is one of the worst issuer that i agree i wanted to sorted out the problem in person but there is no such way for sbi cards if you are calling for phone banking it usuaally takes 15 to 20 minutes to finish the introduction it self just think about phone bill for a non payment of 500 bill they are charging 392 as charges only god knows about the calculation as one of readers about CITI BANK i fully agree with him so far i have not faced any problem with CITI which I have been using it for last 15 years but i really felt sorry that i could not use the card not even one year they tested my patienence so much certainly people must be aware of these companies and as informed by some of the readers ICICI BANK is one of the worst card as every body said.

I endorse the views expressed by Sachin.I have been using HDFC Credit Card for last 5 years and not even once I got any trouble.
It is easy to get a credit card, but it becomes very hard to close the same. Even after closing the card I am getting statements for the credit card. Another issue is when the credit card charges for some alert facilities. The charges will be very minimal. In case you have no dues for the month, but you will be charged with the minimum amount (Rs. 10/-) for the alert facility. If you fail to pay Rs. 10, late payment and no payment charges are levied. As a matter of fact, I had the amount going upto Rs. 1500 due to non payment of Rs. 10 few months back. I finally reversed the money and cancelled all the charges after calling the customer care.
The point i want to make is that you have to read the statement and then make the payment.

Friends,
I beg to defer with your views as I have a bitter experience with CITIBANK crdeit cards, I was their customer for about 10 years. They are good as long as you continue to borrow money from them. Once they realise that you are not responding to their offer, they start harassing you on this pretext on that. For example, when I had taken credit card and doing lots of activities on it, they had suo-moto provided me add on card. They were offering me loan on phone. twice I took that also. But when I realised that with such type of borrowing, one will never come out of debt trap. Hence I had refused it. Since then they are playing dirty with me. Since last couple of years I have not transacted nay business on these cards.
There is known fact that "Buyer be aware". Banking has been changed a lot that nobody should believe on their brochure and marketing skills. As customer should understand that they will give the false commitments and promises. We should take care of our own money and limit our spending.
I had an awful experience while using Standard Chartered credit card. They were repeatedly charging the late fees though I made the payments much before the due date. Ultimately I decided to cancel my card. These people should be brought to book.
