Leaving together before marriage isnot permitted in the Indian society. It is forcefully burrowed from the wetern culture and shouldn't be allowed in any case. It is taking the shape of a passion for the young generation and they take it as license for premarital sex. To understand each other sex couldn't be thought of a criteria anyway. We should remember that we are recognized and respected as Indians because of our unique culture and we willn't let it go just to copy other culture.

I agree with you gk dost.. sampath he is one of the several persons who can do anything for money (dollars) and these are the people who can Lick anything I mean anything to become bloody goras (foregner) but they will never be able to become like them.... I really pitty on these kind of artificial creatures..
'Living in' relationships are to a certian extent of the stupid practices adopted in our institution of marriage. We have progressed from type writers to laptops, coins to smart cards... but Our attitude towards marriage never changed.
Women has graduated as CEO's of MNC's from a home maker. Men do drive a BMW and wear an Armani, but the wife in their dream still is a saree clad women with bindi in the fore head, may be a burkha, children cinging to her hands etc. He is yet to have this digested that the car that speeds at 140kmph can have a women in the driving seat.
Living-in relation is mostly a decision made by the new generation women. Men were always ready for a "liability free" sex life. But for women, it is a bold step she is taking or a kind of challenge she is making on the male section who still fancy to live on the money of her father, fancy to get a slave at home and bed, fancy to keep a Sati-savitri at home.
Women today understand her more. She know her wants and desires. Men will no longer be able to hide their inability or weakness under the "sanctity" cover of marriage.
Living-in, is a challenge and the bold one do survive. You might see them desperate and broken after few years. But their life is much better than the prisoners of marriage.

before making a comment...pls have a look at the happening around. Number of people opting to live as singles, number of living relationships, number of divorces...all have exponential growth. Reality is harsh at times. I am not an advocate of living in relationship, but a critic of our hypocracy.

The western idea of man and woman living together without entering into the wed-lock, is a mockery as far as India is concerned. Our country has rich heritage and moral values for it is known to the outter world. Our religious faith in the holy scriptures, the Vedas, does not permit or support such acts. If one closely look at the Indian History, at any given time, the morality, honesty and faith in God has always persisted and the society was the reflection of these high values. In the present day, it is quite true that the entire world is shrinking into a small capsule due to the advancement in communication and transport, yet, we can not justify the idea of "Living Together" without marriage. Moreover, our arranged marriage and family systems is the most successful one when compared to the entire world. Today's nuclear family concepts and living together concepts have failed every part of the world and they are looking closely at the Indian model and wondering about its success. At this scenario, there is not even an iota of justice for us to think of a different model and that too which is a great failure. Hence, there is no need for the Living together model for India, is my conclusion.

bullshit.heritage/culture.difference between rich n poor is high.girls get married as parents unable to provide them.so nowadays they r educated n dont take shit from husband or inlaws n walkaway.so to avoid this ....live together.no dowry harassment,beatings etc.They also stay married for the sake of children,society & sleep in diferrent beds.Anyhow majority Indians marry for sex as forbidden before marriage..Ha Ha

whoever has posted this let me ask u how pure are u in your relationship... if ur a guy, havent u looked at a gal anytime...just woooed about her beauty....if you are a gal, havent u felt a guy sexy and you wannabe in his arms.... this is fact....facts are always bitter....... no one wants to accept it..........people quote examples from all religious books... how many of them follow that???? do u have an answer... think of urself.... its so easy to write an article , comment on some one else ..... i strongly believe most of us want to practise one thing and end up practicing sumthing else and u are not at all happy in life... if the couple feels that living together before marriage is good for them to understand each other, y not go for a relation like that knowing the pros and cons themselves, who are we to sugggest to people, each individual has their own values and principles... if the couple feels that livingin together befoore marriage is wrong it is again their own decision.... we are no one to say whether it is right or wrong....
moreover, how many parents really know that their daughter and son are in live- in relation. it is because the parents are not in a state of mind to accept the views of their own children (what accept , they dont even hear the children's problem) to correct them...if u talk as said by Dream Weaver (above passage) the children are surely going to retaliate.

by looking to your comment , i am feeling that you have big problems with your parents; anyway, why liv in... is requred,, go for marrige and take divorce if you donot want to take any responsibilty,, nobody will stop you doing this. what i feel that this generation (including me) wants everything in life but when question comes for responsiblity to parents/home they will raise there hands// this live in ....... is one of the example of this.
Good and bad things are part of life,Every thing has its own importance, you should go with them as they come, These things should not be revealed in our general environment, its the dark side of life, every body has it so, should be left un toched.....
