til vs kurmure
by ramakumari mantravadi on Jan 27, 2007 12:57 PM  Permalink

Informative article. Both these items are easily available here in India, only people don't count calories/health benefits. Now its value in terms of 'energy' is clear. Thanks.

They also be mixed with dry coconut and they are rich in antioxidants. More comfortable for digestion than red meat and chicken. Good for skin and eye.

even though til laddoos contain high calories, this is extremely useful for poor people who are unable to eat things like corn flakes, complan etc. Our natural and old dishes are more useful than these artificial drinks.

Til Laddoo

It was an interesting reading. You are right, in India, we have so many festivals and celebrations, and we offer and exchange sweets with our friends, neighbors and relatives, and that always gives us a reason to eat sweets.

In today's times, where there are so many artificial additives are used in ready-to-eat sweets bought from market, we always run high risk of inviting many other health problems apart from FATS. Colours and Flavors used in preparation of this sweets are by nature harmful to our health, and are not easily digested/disposed off by our system which results in having the deposits of this substances in our intestine and leading to digestional disorders, ulcers, and in some cases, the matter may be so worse, that the person is rewarded with cancer.

Home made sweets with minimum number of ingredients are always safe. Fat is one factor and sugar is another factor which needs to be taken care of! apart from this, the health is always safeguarded.

Always prefer home made sweets in comparisation to attractively prepared and decorated commercial Sweets.

As said in above article, always count your calories before counting how many pieces you can eat. Less is safe.

More articles of above kind are welcome as this kind of articles give a good insight into normally ignored issues of health and family.
