i would like to add last bit here. after all the roads of the county are better than shanghai and when shanghai people come here for advise, send those politicians who visited indian roads to shanghai permanently. that would be it. no problems for india. and let the chinese too experience it. long live communism.
I know its tough to make people smile... leave alone laugh... The first few columns of yours.. we were rolling on floor laughing.. for ex the 'fasten your seat belts...' and 'SMS polls...'.. the last 2 havent really matched up to those... but still very nicely written and evokes a few laughs in patches... good work Sid... looking forward to read more...
I have better idea for you... if you wanna stay at some place then stop complaining n start living... or else go back to malluland where everythin is perfect. I did same with bangalore... thankfully am far away from footpath.

Yes... what an amazing achievement?... Dont ever stand up and question these things.. keep running away from it... "thankfully am far away from footpath." the author at least has asked a few questions in a lighter sense.. if you cant appreciate it.. at lease keep your trap shut..
The BMC and the likes, if they get used to the "VIP visits" are quite unlikely to get up and get the work done Sidin Saar... With a regular convoy, the common man faces a hell. Imagine the PM/Prez in the ditch... Traffic would be left in doldrums and you could count Aaj Tak/NDTV/Zee news etc to open up near-permanent offices around the potholes. And with the indian enterprising business-wallahs, who have been discussed passingly in the write up, imagine what kind of a scene could be created. Now that calls for a complete length post in itself, WHATsAY? :)
What kind of exaggeration is this?? Surely, I need to verify it again... haven't really encountered such dangerous footpaths in South Mumbai.. I suppose its a reality in the suburbs, won't still like to believe the author at face value, a discount is certainly due to what he has written...

try walking on footpath from hajiali signal towards copper chimney (worli) along the sea - there was a huge hole with diameter of 5-6 ft last time I saw it !
