Well Bruno has not seen one point which is on offshoring if any State with Benchmark Corporates offshoring method can create wonders like Banglore. The other point is the sliding of one state completely on one Industry -IT which they again depend on Companies Abroad. If those countries has a slow down then compaies there rock to bottom and IT companies here are reggee(busted). Then Bruno will think of Belgium Only.

bangalore = one big trashcan. garbage on roads, hanging overhead wires, open sewage drains, open sewages, potholed roads, poor sidewalks, poor public transport, cheat auto guys, lazy locals, horrible looking women, zero night life, bad food.

Thanks to years of Anarchy
by Ravi on Dec 19, 2007 11:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Absence of governance is showing in the streets of Bangalore. The state government is hardly giving back anything back to Bangalore In return to trillions of rupees they get as tax. Will not be surprised if Housur overtakes Bangalore in 5 years from now as the prefered place of investment.

If that happens, let us feel proud, another indian city is developed parallel to bangalore, theres nothing to lose. After all even HOSUR is also in india, isnt it, think about it seriously.

Have u ever come across the facilities there, not just being largest is great, to maintain is also important, just visit chennai and have a look, how pathetic is it. Never ever compare with CMBT to Bangalore's bus stands.

Guys,
I been to banglore, but bus facility is not good compared to mumbai.Transport hits the bottom.Autos you get but most of them prefer his routes. Its a good city.It will take much time to become a true silcon vally style. One thing is for one IT domain the city is like this if it has multiple domains say Finance,Aerospace what will happen i feel mumbai tops in this Space.Banglore Buzz will fade in some years.

Bangalore is better than many cities in India.
by Swapnil Khekale on Dec 18, 2007 11:31 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I come from a town in maharashtra where the roads are comparable with Bangalore. As a proud indian I would prefer every town in India should have good infrastructure but sadly we just do not press this basic lack of infrastructure too hard. Why cant we have a peaceful satyagraha (munna bhai style). Lets be a catalyst of change - Lets contribute some of our time / Money / efforts. Lets do something on it.
Bangalore has such a nice weather, excellent investment from IT companies, safe living conditions (when I say all this - I capmare this with an all india average).
There will be some regional challenges, political motives for a big geographical country like India. But look what world think of us - If you get a chance please read a book - "The world is flat" as mentioned in this article. It is fantastic eye opener on "Bangalored" I am sure, every indian, be it Maharashtrain, Kanadiga, Tamil, UPite etc., will be proud of.
Chak de India - Kuch kariye kuch kariye.
