Kerala is clean, beautiful and pleasant. Munnar in Kerala is a heaven on earth. About 6 to 7 hills completely covered by tea gardens of Tata Tea Company are so soothing to your eyes that you just can't take your eyes off the scenery ! The climate is also very pleasant. We stayed in a hotel called 'Tall Trees Resort'. Good rooms, good food, situated amongst tall trees jungle. I recommend this resort.
Yup !, I had been to kerala , and stayed there for more than 15 days , durig my stay I found Munnar, Thekaddy (incl. spice garden) , are flooded with cheaters , all hyped rates govt. has no contrl over it rigged prices of spices (poor quality spices also price same as good one) and in munnar despite no animals in that last stop of jungle taxi buggars take tourists there and charge 1000/- to 1500/- bucks which is pure waste . even restaurents are not maintaining qlty. and prices very high ONly place where we felt comfortable was TATA's (factory, retail tea shops etc.) they r perfect and very very reasonable tea staff is wonderful behaviour and very keeen to tell and attentive. so morale is in Munnar (excellent panoramic views good place, worst people , cheaters all around and TATA 's r good there in all means)SO be careful try not to buy anything from local people and local brands of tea

Dear Mr.Tommy sorry to hear...u might have gone their thru not so well know TOUR OPERATOR. If u have to enjoy Kerala ,I have a suggestion ,visit.mysticdestinations.com and book a tour thru them and see the best quality of service.Of course,little costly,but that is nothing. Jophy I am first Indian than any State-yte so its my exp. out of all places in India i have visited which incls. Karnatake/TN/MH/MP/Shimpla/GOA and UP /wb too. the worst exp. i had was the whole of kerala despite me knowing lang like (Hindi/Eng/ Tamil/Telugu/Kannda/ Punjabi ) i faced problem , even 6 yrs. back when my parents have visited they also had similar problem that means problem is there which needs to controlled by local people citizens as well as administrators "Gows own country " and bla bla is for nature and natural beauty not for people making money out of it (by menas of cheating )
