Thank you Sanjeev for sharing your experience. India\'s intellectual capital is far better than many developed countries. Though disappointing to read all the comments here, but appreciate the attitude to express individual views. Its easy to complain than get it done. Don\'t blame the government for what an individual is not ready to do. Above all what US has and the roads in Kuala Lumpur, India has \"intellectuals\". We better use it to our advantage.
we hear a lot of things about India's progress through government and through such articles. but to believe them, the effects should be obvious and tangible, which we get to see nowhere.by building a few roads(which develop potholes every alternate year) and getting some FDIs( mostly in service sector because of cost effectiveness)the government is claiming that it is doing a great deal for the booming economy. if atall booming, where to see it.
What v see is maximum people is travelling in train what v execept from govt should make data of the people travelling from and to so that control the the crowd and manage the people.maximum companies is shifting from town to suburb it should better to increase the train between bandra to vasai in peak hour.
I am not holding a pessimistic view on this but the argument that the government is now taking initiatives to implement changes meant for progress towards increased industrialisation is purely an overstatement. If all the politicians put their head together and simply decide not to geopardise a simple citizen's business plan, if not subsidise it's costs, we will all be much better off!
Whatever little infrastructure growth India has achieved is gradually sabotaged by Islamic fundamentalists supported by Pakistan and Maoists supported by China thus pushing India to the brink of economic and political destability.Lets wake up to this reality and prepare for a long, long war.
I do agree with some of the points mentioned. I recently visited India after a gap of 18 months. No doubt infrastructure showed some improvement but only in Delhi (I spend 2 weeks). The opposite I saw in a small place like Varanasi (my home down). Private buildings are coming up well but the roads and power situation has gone worst. I would wonder if the writer calls this as improvement. In my view- Our country is shinning but in metros only. Perhaps the best roads among the metros is in Delhi which in comparison to Kualam lampur is no where.
india is being raped meticulously by vested intrests,in no time one will see prostitutes and pushers all around.with farming and agricultural land on decline, looks like sooner the better india starts negotiating imports of fresh vegitables and foodgrains.starvation and hunger is just round the corner, in fact already farmers in maharashtra and elsewhere have committed suicide.young farm hands male/female alike are lured to cities.villages are outrageously neglected and false reports are submitted by authorities.poor villagers,GOD save them!!
