You must be working as a consultant.
Rs 450 seems to be 5% TDS has been taken out from your pay.

Regarding HRA exemption
by Ramakanth Nayak on Sep 14, 2006 05:33 PM  Permalink

The points (7) and (8) mentioned in this article applies 100% to me... But my employer does not agree to this....HRA exemption claiming and House Loan exemption claiming inspite my house for which loan was taken is 400 Kms away from my work place..

Is anybody aware of the IT ACT details for this info?? Your commnets are highly appreciated.

by H A Sukhtankar on Sep 14, 2006 04:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What is minimum distance that is required between rented house and own house to claim exemption.

E.G.

If you have flat and paying EMI 9000/- p.m. Kolkota and due to job you move to Hyderabad and paying rent 9000/- p.m. can you take exemption on both ?

Distance is not a matter... even if it isthe next house you are elegible to HRA benifit but the rent earned is taxable
