In my view a mix of both academic degrees and work experience contribute to an individual's knowledge. Once a concept is theoretically well understood it is easier to apply it in the real world. However intuition, business acumen, negotiation skills, communication and networking skills, enterpreneurial skills come only with work experience which is where legends like Dhirubhai Ambani and N R Narayanamurthy score.
Well All depends how good you are capable of learning, thinking, executing and planning things.
I guess no degree teaches that, it has to be inherent , and as your life changes , how do you continue to do the above.
Most of the learning does take place in your job and while you are studying, then we start thinking and planning, how well do we execute even that matters.
For starting the career degrees is required specially in government sector but as per present condition work experience in much require compare to Degree
I personally believe that degrees are the base for the job and having work experience on one`s CV would definitely be an advantage for the job he/she is looking for. so in brief i would say its better to have work exp which will undoubtedly will make you expose to the things in the corporate side .
Education is essential till the 11th Std. Not 12th beacuse its a Rat race then... I have completed graduation and currently pursuing Masters part time, while working full time.
One thing I become wise about is tht what u learn in classrooms may help u for the next 1 yr or so. After tht unless u have super memory all concepts learnt are slowly gonna get blurred. But wht u learn while walking the walk (err on Work i mean) stays with u on every footstep u take in life ! There is no forgetting the exposure and the lessons learnt from it. They will help u build what a thousand books cannot... and tht is ur Attitude to Life, which is the ultimate decider of your what u achieve out here, whether or not u have the talent to !!!
Degree is required to qualify certain knowledge and skill. Once you are in the job and records are entered in the service book then degrees are kept aside your attitude, skill and experience counts. If you do enter in the service for employment and want to work as enterpreneur then degree has got no meaning say Mr O.P. Jindal,Mr Dhirubhai Ambani and many more.
what i feel is more than degree and experience attitude is more important. Many people with load of degree and experience has failed, whereas people with little or no degree and experience coupled with the attitude to succede have made it in big way.
To succeed in life one needs to have some basic knowledge. But it does'nt mean that one needs to gasp all the bookish knowledge. There are examples of people who don't had any education or acedemic background but they have done great in their life.Having loads of degrees to flaunt without having any work experience won't lead a person too far.So i think work experience counts a lot.
