Take the details with you about the above issues before taking admission.
hey there i did my MBA from not at so good institute till date very few ppl know if it and one of the reason y they know is bcoz my batch created this very unique festivale and i happen to be part of it. hardly any corporate visited my campus, to be honest it was as good as saying nobody since they wanted salesman. today i m working along with indian CFA goldmedalist, any MBA from symbosis pune, a CA with work-ex of 1yr, an MBA from much more reputed MBA institute then mine
and i have really good job i m an equity research analyst in one of the top companies in industry i earn as much as CFA gold medalist and more then one who is MBA from much better institute then mine.
i dont wan boost too much abut me, just wan tell u its U and ur talent thts gone make whole difference, in downturn many ppl dint go to harvard, althought it got 100% placement but recruiters were less tht means so was pay package so thts reality. only advantage u get being in IIM or harvard is corporates wud come to u listen u say y they shud hire u, while in rest cases u have to run around to sell urself.
Can anybody be kind enough to share information about Hotel Management course conducted by Amity? Is it wise decision to go for this three year course?
Why study in this insitute when there are better institutes for management. i am surprised that they have a management school as well. Their engg and It institutes are above average. Their infrastructure is quite ok but thats only half the story.
If you are not getting admission anywhere then this is not a bad college. The best schools in Delhi are FMS, FORE and IMI apart from IIT. Go for IIM, SP Jain, Narsee Monjee, Symbiosis, XLRI. Management is not like plain science that one can do from any where; you need to specialise, develop your skills. Do management from top 15 colleges only or have a mediocre life!!.
hi satya, If you are serious about studies then prefer other institute.I have many friends who did mba in amity.its rich students showoff place.you will see more and more boozing, bunking classes.positive pointis that it advertises a lot and has deep pockets so you will get chance to see and hear famous management gurus.now its who has to decide........

Yes,You are right all Amitians are Rich.If my parents or I am rich, it shouldn't bother anybody. Apart from this even after boozing, bunking, fashion shows, dance parties...... whatever has been said about ABS & Amitians I believe most of us are doing very well in the industry. At least better than most of the institutes which has been mentioned in this discussion.
So Satya go ahead & join Amity without any inhibitions.
Dear Satya and others who have taken part in the discussion here.
I am the head of marketing at India's Largest MBA forum and am cognizant of almost everything which happens in MBA education arena in India.Fakes like IIPM are banned on our site and we make sure that our users get credible information most of the time. The way market and economy is going, even a MBA grad from guru ghantadas university can get a job . So placements etc are not an issue. As far as salary figures are concerned , lot of fudging takes place , right from quoting "average salary offered" to CTC to the company where your salary also includes the average toilet paper you will use in a month. Personally I will not advise you to join AMITY because it lacks : 1> Credibility 2> Required certifications 3> Permanent Faculty 4> Institute-Industry interaction 5> Quality of students/peers 6> Recognition by other top institutes e.g. To how many b-School fests, amity students have been invited and have won? Instead , you should look for upcoming institutes like Great Lakes,IFMR, IMI etc. Also do a SWOT analysis and ask yourselves why u want to do an MBA or you will be as lost as an OBC in Harvard.
