Just one small, silly little thing needs to be changed in this article. Remove the word 'Maybe' from the start of those last 6-7 sentences, and just start of with 'I am'. Don't say 'maybe', when there is no doubt!

Thats because of the society we live in. If animals had all the rules in place, if they understood that forced sex was rape and the feelings they had were wrong, would they also do it as freely?
We are brought up in a society which has over centuries predefined what is right or wrong. Also if you look at it rules are made not for prevention but mostly as a reaction to an incident. So our rules tended to be like the tightening knot..the more we struggle the tighter it binds us.
So if you look at the inhibitions most of it is in our minds and in our thoughts because we decided to be civilized and not animals :)
I read the article word by word. I cannot agree more. The article shows that still there are human beings left in the world as against the general feeling given that sex is driven by animal instinct. The arguments given by the author's flambouyent friends prove the point of author rather than the wqesternised ideas. Sex like all human instincts have been refined from baser instinct to finer instnicts and the magic is done by human mind. Just as we dont eat like animals when we are hungary but we "take" lunches and dinners, we dont drink water like animals but we "sip" drinks, we cannot "mate" like animals but we "make love". I think it will be good that such ideas are propgated particular to 13+ people rather than the authors age group people- if a person of 30+ age group considers sex as baser instinct(whatever sharon stones says), it can be easily concluded that their minds have not deveopled as human beings but as animal beings. But people of 13+ age group have opporttunity to cast their mind in animal form or human form
perfect! i deeply appreciate your ideas, but at the same time believe that it is a value, that needs to be enculcated in todays' generation. its been a tough and controversial issue always, more so in the present context, but with good education and understanding, todays youth can be made to lead a more meaningful, faithful and healthy lifestyle.we have to make the distinction for ourselves - we are NOT animals.
I sure go with the author of this article and fully agree to it. There are strong emotions involved when two people come together for the act of sex. You could equate people here sleeping with just anybody for the sheer physical pleasure, with any other mentally hardened who commit various crimes.
Those who are hopeless, desparate and not capable of having romantic attitude would settle for 'sex for fun' outside marriage. There is something called dignity that prevents lust from over-ruling the self esteem.
You are right Sarah, keep the intimate act for your would-be hubby. Dignity lasts longer than the body chemistry.
