It depends on what kind of institute you enroll yourself and what field of work you are looking for .
Firstly If you succeed in enrolling in the premier MBA institute ,do go for it as it always have a value of the same for life
If you are unable to do so ,think on what area you would like to shape your career and look into the field deeply and try to understand what needs to be done . If the field is growing fast with graduates having sufficient scope for you to pursue a career later ,go for it and then do the MBA
If you are thinking of a field that has already a plethora of MBA ,then its better you try out an institute for a MBA and fight the competition
So it depends on the institute you get to join, and the career field you intend to pursue . Think and take a careful decision All the best to you
its really interesting question and in my view work experience is must before doing mba, because it gives u functional knoledge and puts u in real situation through which u learn a lot.if u go through this it would be much easier for you to understand the subject as well as becoming master of business admin.
I recommend a job experience first before goin to a MBA. Experience teaches you much which is not in texts and blending those experience with the texts gives a rich experience. 2-3 yrs experience before pursuing MBA is what I recommend
Hi, The decision depends on few parameters. 1. An Engineering grad with Zero work experience but with a good MBA degree is preferred choice of the industry.
2. In case of a commerce grads, some work experience is appreciated in addition to a MBA degree.
3. In general in India there is a tendency to pursue MBA immediately after completing Bachelors degree. But if you are interested in doing your MBA from foreign univ. through GMAT then work experience is preferred.
Please note that I am not speaking from experience but from what I have gathered from my friends during discussions.
I have been working in Human Resources for the past 5 years. My experience with recruiting tells me that an MBA after a few years of work experience would place you at a more demanding position in the job market. Employers would tend to take you at a higher level at a better pay with a greater responsibility.
I would suggest you to come out from college and start to work in any organization at any post at least for 1 year & then you go for MBA. Unless and until you get some working experience, you can not understand the real value of MBA.
When I become an Educational Minister or Secretary!!! of course, I will change the structure to make it compulsory to have 1 year working experience for MBA studies. Work and study, then you will realize my words.
The work experience should be there before joining any management course. As after MBA you are going to manage company's assests, finance and work on lot more minute details of company. A work experience in this will always help out. You must understand the out-of-the-student-life world before taking any major responsibility. The minimum work experience preffered should be of two years. This will help you in fast rise of your career, because you will be aware of what you are going to face in your MBA or after that.
I think MBA after 2-3years of work experience is GOLD.I do not oject to freshers going for MBA,it's good but if u carry couple of years of experience in the domain u wnna pursue.,you will be oneup than others.
You can do MBA and then go for a Job. If you have MBA degree on your hand, the Job profile what will you look for is completely different from the Job projile a commerce graduate look for.Pacakage will also plays important role in this. By holding MBA degree, easily you can move to senior Management position.
