LTA Claim
by Sambit Dash on Feb 07, 2007 11:03 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Sir,

My LTA amount has made Rs. 16,860/- for the F.Y. 2006-07, as per your rule I have claimed for Rs. 17000/- against LTA. I mean the LTA has deducted from my Gross Total salary for F.Y. 2006-07.

So I am requesting you that, will I submit the bills against LTA%u2026.. I am fully confused about that. Please let me know about the above quarry.

Thanks

Sambit

Your question is confusing, could you rephrase it...

You can claim only once for a calendar year, and that too for the amount which is designated for you by your employer.

LTA
by M. Sundar on Jul 28, 2006 12:05 PM  Permalink

Good and informative Article. The Author should also write as to how the LTA is availed. For example, Nationalised Banks allow you to select your destination within India once in four years and travel to Home town once in two years. Private Companies give fixed amount as LTA every year.

In case of private companies, suppose the amount given is Rs.20,000 per annum, whether the employee can travel anywhere he likes for Rs.20,000/-

Nationalised Banks allow your family to travel alone provided the employee avails LTC for himself within six months or before six months.

For availing LTA for the family, an affidavit is to submitted mentioning that your spouse does not have income more than Rs.1500 per month. If spouse is employed do one can claim LTA for spouse also. Please clarify.
