Never knew that attending a marriage would be so exciting!Although that was the main intention of going to Coorg, we felt there was no harm in mixing business with pleasure. Bangalore to Coorg-260 Kms,Hyundai Santro, 4 people, started at 7 in the monrning, and loads of fun!First Stop-Kushalnagar,Buddha Monsatery at around 3PM.The sheer magnanimity and the use of colours could leave even a colour-blind person dazzled by its brilliance! It was almost evening at 5 when we reached Madikeri town. The clouds were now threatening to encompass the town in its misty cloak, and just when it would seem so,a gush of wind would blow the clouds away giving a pristine view of the entire town. Wedding that evening, and then hit the road again the next day. Abbey Falls-the sound of the gushing water seems almost deafening. Rajah Seat-a beautiful park, provided a panoramic view of the lush green valleys, and the Western Ghats. Coorg rains added on to the heavenly ambience the place had. Needing to return to Bangalore by that night,we started immediately. But I silently promised myself, and am sure the others did too, that this would not be a one-night stand. The love affair had just begun.

hi..i do hail from coorg..looks like some one has taken u for a ride..saying these things ..all these things are jus rubbish
We had been to Coorg last week and came back just today. Its a nice place to visit but at this point of time, one must be ready for heavy rain falls. The Abbey Water Falls are very ferocious when it rains such heavily.
Nice Place......

hi! well u rightly said.....nice place .....i spent 2 days in Coorg & enjoyed every bit of it - coffee plantations, the market, people. No OFFENSE,but the 1 thing i didn't like was The Abbey Water Falls....... was dirty & filthy. 1 local even told us tht it was a drain flowing out of Coorg ......& personally it didn't even look like 1......
